The leader of the ultra right-wing Nacionalni Stroj organization Goran Davidovic will be extradited from Italy to Serbia on October 20. The extradiction will be handled by Interpol officials, said Justice Minister Snezana Malovic. Serbian “Fuhrer“ to be extradited Oct. 20 Straight after extradition, Davidovic, nicknamed “Fuhrer“, will be sent to a prison in Sombor to serve a one-year prison term for inciting ethnic, racial and religious hatred and intolerance, she explained. The Appeal Court in Trieste upheld the Serbian Ministry of Justice’s appeal to extradite Davidovic in mid-September. The Nacionalni Stroj leader was arrested in mid-April in Trieste on a warrant issued by Serbian Interpol. However he was released in early June until the Appeal Court took a final decision on the extradition request pertaining to these charges and others. Davidovic was sentenced to one year in prison for inciting ethnic, racial and religious hatred and intolerance, when he and a group of neo-Nazis disrupted an anti-fascism debate at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, verbally and physically abusing speakers and guests alike. A warrant was issued for his arrest in March when he failed to report to prison in Sombor to serve his sentence.

The Appeal Court in Trieste upheld the Serbian Ministry of Justice’s appeal to extradite Davidović in mid-September.
