Journalist’s murder still unsolved

The District Prosecution has formally called on the Interior Ministry to confirm that foul play was involved in the death of journalist Radislava Vujasinovic. The prosecution also calls for the police to determine who was responsible for her murder. Journalist’s murder still unsolved According to a statement signed by State Prosecutor Tomo Zoric, the application submitted by the prosecution calls for more evidence and information to be gathered in order to confirm the evidence and opinion of expert Vlada Kostic, who stated in June 2008 that Vujasinovic’s death was “most likely caused by the actions of another person.” The expert’s analysis and findings all point to murder, as opposed to the original verdict of suicide. According to the ballistics expert, the left hand “was probably incapacitated after which the deceased was no longer able to use it to handle the weapon further.” The Vujasinovic family and their legal representative, along with the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia, presented these new findings to the public two months ago. Vujasinovic was found dead in her apartment on April 9, 1994, and the first inquest found that she had taken her own life.
