Inflation in Serbia measured by the consumer price index was 1.4 percent in January, the Statistical Office said in a statement today. In January, the biggest price hikes were recorded in alcoholic beverages and tobacco (7.7 percent), transport (2.4 percent), food and soft drinks (1.9 percent) and education (1.3 percent), while prices of communication services dropped 1.7 percent. The prices of other products and services did not see significant changes.
