The average net wage in Serbia in May was about EUR 320, which is realistically 5.5 percent and nominally 4.3 percent less than in April. "Lower wages only in Macedonia" This is also 3.7 percent greater realistically than the wages in May of 2009, and 7.6 percent greater nominally. According to the State Statistics Bureau (RZS), the average wage with taxes and contributions paid in May was EUR 444, which is also less than in April by 5.5 percent realistically and 4.3 percent nominally. “This is simply still a sign that Serbia is deep in an economic crisis,” official of the Institute for Market Research, Sasa Djogovic, said. “There are no new investments, or orders that would increase employment or production capacities and earnings,” he said.
