Telenor in only bid for second landline operator

Telenor is the only company that on Tuesday presented its bid for obtaining the license for Serbia’s second landline operator in Serbia. The Republic Telecommunication Agency (RATEL) confirmed this is a statement in Belgrade today following the opening of bids. The license for second landline operator is granted for a period of ten years, and it can be extended if all required conditions are met.

Serbia’s only landline operator at this point is state-run Telekom Srbija.

Norway’s Telenor holds one of Serbia’s three mobile telephony licenses.
