The Croatian Konavle municipality Chief says the Montenegrin President agreed to pay reparations to Croatia for war damages.

Montenegro to pay for war damages?

Korda said "Vujanović confirmed to Croatian President Stjepan Mesić at their mid 2004 meeting he accepted Croatia’s proposal that Montenegro should pay a portion of war damages through shares in Montenegrin state-owned companies."

“I am not familiar whit what happened afterwards and why the issue is being stalled,” Korda said commenting on recent statement given by the Montenegrin President that Montenegro would make “only a symbolic payment to Croatia on the basis of occurrences in Dubrovnik combat zone in the 1990s.”

According to Kordi, Konavle municipality made an exact assessment of the damages, including the number of ransacked and torched companies and apartments.
