Jos samo da su ti IPS monitori mat, a ne sjajni sa refleksijom, pa da to bude valjano. Trpaju to staklo da bude fensi, a stvarno nema potrebe.

Imao sam priliku da skoro godinu dana u Gazeti radim i vidim Epl monitore na delu. Imali smo dva od 30 inča i desetak malo manjih. Naravno, bili su užasno skupi. I po meni ništa naročito, za razliku od njihovih kompova koji rasturaju. Fotoreporteri su bili očarani pauermakovima. Ja sam pre skoro četiri godine kupio Samsung 214T. Jeste da sam ga platio, na sniženju, 550 evra, ali sam prezadovoljan. Naravno, znao sam da monitor nije za igrice i gledanje utakmica, jer je spor (8 milisekundi) ali zato osvetljenje, kontrast i boje čuvaju oči, a slika je fantastična. Nadam se da ću jednog dana imati priliku da kupim neki profi Eizo monitor. Evo malo prikaza za neupućene:

Types of LCD panels:

The TN (twisted nematic) display is the most common consumer display type, due to its low production cost and wide development. The pixel response time on modern TN panels is sufficiently fast to most users ; this fast response time has been a heavily marketed aspect of TN displays, although in most cases this number does not reflect performance across the entire range of possible color transitions.

Modern use of technologies has allowed manufacturers to significantly reduce grey to grey (G2G) transitions. Response times are now quoted in G2G figures; with 4ms and 2ms now being commonplace for TN based models. This marketing strategy, combined with the relatively lower cost of production for TN panels, has led to the dominance of TN in the consumer market.

However, color reproduction and linearity on TN panels is poor. The TN display suffers from limited viewing angles, especially in the vertical direction, and most are unable to display the full 16.7 million colors (24-bit truecolor) available from modern graphics cards. These particular panels, with 6 bits per color channel as opposed to 8, can approach 24-bit color using a dithering method which combines adjacent pixels to simulate the desired shade.

As a result, TN panels can’t be used efficiently for photo work (photos display and manipulation).

IPS

IPS (in-plane switching) was developed by Hitachi in 1996 to improve on the poor viewing angles and color reproduction of TN panels. Most also support true 8-bit color. These improvements came at a loss of response time, which was initially on the order of 50ms. IPS panels were also extremely expensive.

IPS has since been superseded by S-IPS (Super-IPS, Hitachi in 1998), which has all the benefits of IPS technology with the addition of improved pixel refresh timing. Though color reproduction approaches that of CRTs, the contrast ratio remains relatively weak. LG and Philips remain one of the main manufacturers of S-IPS based panels.

MVA

MVA (multi-domain vertical alignment) was originally developed in 1998 by Fujitsu as a compromise between TN and IPS. It achieved fast pixel response, wide viewing angles and high contrast at the cost of brightness and color reproduction. Modern MVA panels can offer wide viewing angles (second only to S-IPS technology), good black depth, good color reproduction and depth, and fast response times.

PVA

PVA (patterned vertical alignment) and S-PVA (super patterned vertical alignment) offers similar features to MVA, but boasts very high contrast ratios such as 3000:1. S-PVA panels all use at least true 8-bit color electronics and do not use any color simulation methods. S-PVA panels offered by Eizo (at least newer ones) use even 10-bit color internally, which enables gamma and other corrections without banding. PVA and S-PVA can offer good black depth, wide viewing angles and S-PVA can offer additionally fast response times thanks to modern RTC technologies.

On a classic CRT monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 1100df), I can see all the shades of gray, depending on the quality of your LCD monitor you can determine how many colors are you going to see in your photographs.

Prosle godine sam kupio novi MacBook Pro i na njemu nema tog thunderbolt porta.... I sta sad ja treba da radim, da opet kupujem novi laptop???

Kabl se dobija uz monitor. Cena jeste visoka, ali za profesionalce koji koriste Mac ovo je jedini nacin da dobiju kompletan docking station. Pod uslovom da Imaju nove modele MacBook Pro ili Air.

Ljudi koji kritikuju Apple na ovim stranicama uglavnom gledaju stvari samo iz svog ugla. Ne mora za svakog korisnika Windows biti bolji izbor zato sto ima hrpu besplatnih programa - ima nas koji zelimo da platimo za programe koje koristimo.
Ne mora za svakoga biti bolje sporije rešenje za povezivanje periferija kao sto je USB, samo zato sto je siroko prihvaceno i jeftinije - ima nas koji cenimo brzinu i dodatne mogucnosti, bez obzira na visu cenu.
Ne mora bas svako da kupuje neki PC laptop zato sto dobijes "jaču" mašinu za manje para - ima nas koje zanima kako ta mašina zaista služi u svakodnevnom radu po pitanju pouzdanosti, jednostavnosti korištenja ili orijentaciji ka korisniku i spremni smo da platimo više za to.
Ne mora baš za svakoga da ekran bude jeftin, a kvalitetan, ima ljudi koji su spremni i mogu da plate više za ono što dobijaju, čak i kada nije najbolji omer cena i performansi, jer sa tom opremom zarađuju i mogu to sebi da priušte!
I za kraj, shvatite vi dokoni mrzitelji Apple proizvoda. Za nekoga ko koristi MacBook ili bilo koji proizvod Apple-a uopšte nije bitno da li je Windows bolji! Mi ga čak i ne razmatramo kao opciju! Windows nije za nas! Slobodno ga zadržite za sebe i uživajte u svim prednostima koje vam pruža! Za nas je ovaj slabašni, spori, zastareli, neinvetivni i bezobrazno skupi Apple sasvim OK... Meni zaista ništa bolje ne treba!

Kad već moraš dati 1000 dolara za ekran mogli su barem staviti i DVI/VGA/HDMI priključak. Ali ne, to je Apple, on već živi u budućnosti gde svaki računar na svetu ima Thunderbolt priključak.

Ovaj monitor nije bezobrazno skup ako se uzme u obzir panel koji sadrzi. Poredjenje ovog monitora sa iMac-om ne stoji, uopste nisu u istoj klasi. Porediti ga sa profesionalnim ekranima iz Dell-a ili Nec-a bi bilo primerenije. A onda cak ispadne da je Apple jeftiniji.

Mene su definitivno privukli sa ovom doking idejom, jos samo da nasi uvoznici pocnu da prodaju po normalnijim cenama...

Thunderbolt nece zaziveti. Jedan takav kabl kosta 50$. To je bolesno skupo (mada je realno, jer su kablovi aktivni / imaju cipove u sebi).

USB 3 ce zgaziti Thunderbolt.

Secam se tamo neke 1997 citam da ima mac za printer!, mis, tipkovnicu i sve ostalo isti kabel?? A pise da je to neki USB a taj kabel je mali ima samo 4 kabela unutra a kazu da je brzi od paralelnog monstruma?? Sta sam ja dete PC znao sta je to USB? da ne pominjem misa (inace izum xeroxa). Ali bitno je da citam Win fenove kako je Apple bzv i kao je to nasminkan PC i kako je to....

opet jedna za korisnika znacajna stvar umesto malo milion kablova dovoljno 2 sta ces bolje! trebalo bi ostali napokon tako da krenu da misle jer to je jedan od razloga apple-vog uspeha.

Volim Appleove proizvode, ali zaista, oni do sada nisu napravili ekran koji ima ne pristojnu ili prihvatljivu, nego cenu koja nije bezobrazna. Ovaj ekran kosta kao ceo iMac uz koji, inace, ide i odlican ekran. Kompjuter da ne spominjem. Nije mi bas jasna logika...

Malo sam skeptičan oko prodora na tržište kad je samo TB kabel oko 50 dolara. Moraće Apple da krene da ih prodaje sa velikom gubitkom, ali može im se.

S-PVA panels all use at least true 8-bit color electronics and do not use any color simulation methods. S-PVA panels offered by Eizo (at least newer ones) use even 10-bit color internally, which enables gamma and other corrections without banding. PVA and S-PVA can offer good black depth, wide viewing angles and S-PVA can offer additionally fast response times thanks to modern RTC technologies.

On a classic CRT monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 1100df), I can see all the shades of gray, depending on the quality of your LCD monitor you can determine how many colors are you going to see in your photographs.

Prosle godine sam kupio novi MacBook Pro i na njemu nema tog thunderbolt porta.... I sta sad ja treba da radim, da opet kupujem novi laptop???

Malo sam skeptičan oko prodora na tržište kad je samo TB kabel oko 50 dolara. Moraće Apple da krene da ih prodaje sa velikom gubitkom, ali može im se.

Ovaj monitor nije bezobrazno skup ako se uzme u obzir panel koji sadrzi. Poredjenje ovog monitora sa iMac-om ne stoji, uopste nisu u istoj klasi. Porediti ga sa profesionalnim ekranima iz Dell-a ili Nec-a bi bilo primerenije. A onda cak ispadne da je Apple jeftiniji.

Mene su definitivno privukli sa ovom doking idejom, jos samo da nasi uvoznici pocnu da prodaju po normalnijim cenama...

Kad već moraš dati 1000 dolara za ekran mogli su barem staviti i DVI/VGA/HDMI priključak. Ali ne, to je Apple, on već živi u budućnosti gde svaki računar na svetu ima Thunderbolt priključak.

opet jedna za korisnika znacajna stvar umesto malo milion kablova dovoljno 2 sta ces bolje! trebalo bi ostali napokon tako da krenu da misle jer to je jedan od razloga apple-vog uspeha.

Kabl se dobija uz monitor. Cena jeste visoka, ali za profesionalce koji koriste Mac ovo je jedini nacin da dobiju kompletan docking station. Pod uslovom da Imaju nove modele MacBook Pro ili Air.

Jos samo da su ti IPS monitori mat, a ne sjajni sa refleksijom, pa da to bude valjano. Trpaju to staklo da bude fensi, a stvarno nema potrebe.
