Dramatic warning issued: “Possible falling objects from the airspace”
Romania’s General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations today issued a warning to residents in the northern part of Tulcea County over the possibility of objects falling from the airspace, after the Ministry of Defence detected an aerial target near the border with Ukraine.
FSB arrests man in Crimea; Was he revealing information about Russian forces?
Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said today that it had detained a 55-year-old man in Crimea who, according to the agency, provided Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) with information about the deployment of Russian military units and equipment and was preparing attacks on railway infrastructure.
According to the FSB, the man from Bakhchysarai District used WhatsApp to communicate with a representative of the SBU, TASS reported. He allegedly provided information about the locations of military units, military equipment and air-defense systems.
The FSB claims that the man was also tasked with preparing acts of sabotage and terrorist attacks against railway infrastructure facilities, as well as monitoring the vehicle of a Russian Defense Ministry servicemember stationed in Sevastopol.
Part of drone spotted near Romanian resort of Costinești?
Part of a possible drone was spotted in the sea near the Romanian resort of Costinești on Thursday morning, close to the shore and a breakwater. Tourists filmed the unidentified object and alerted the authorities, who will investigate what it was.
Tourists on the beach in Costinești saw an object resembling a drone floating near the breakwater, Romanian outlet Digi24 reported.
Witnesses filmed the object and said they believed it could have been a drone. They said the object was no longer visible after a few minutes, leading them to assume that it had sunk.
Romanian authorities have been notified of the incident and are expected to investigate the case.
Horrific: Russians strike passenger train
A Russian attack drone struck a passenger train in the Odesa region. According to preliminary information, the train driver and his assistant were killed in the attack, the railway company said.
