Several U.S. officials told the American television network that preparations are underway for possible strikes if needed, but that “diplomacy is the priority for now.”

According to one source, the U.S. is deliberately launching strikes and then pausing them in order to avoid further escalation of the conflict.

Earlier today, on the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, stationed in the Arabian Sea, crews loaded fighter jets with weapons, while pilots conducted preparations for potential attacks.

Sources also claim that the U.S. military reportedly did not strike Iranian territory overnight, despite reports by local media of explosions in Bushehr, Konarak, and Chogadak.

On Thursday evening, Washington carried out strikes in southern and northern Iran.

According to data from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the military hit approximately 90 targets.

U.S. President Donald Trump said the strikes were a response to Tehran’s actions against commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

He threatened an escalation of attacks if such an incident happened again.

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the strikes a serious violation of the signed memorandum of understanding.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had launched a missile attack yesterday on a U.S. command center in the Middle East and the Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan.
