“Iranians are trying to buy time and are saying different things. We and the Americans are coordinated and ready to immediately continue the war,” the official said.
However, Iran still has to decide whether it will attend the second round of talks in Islamabad before the current two-week ceasefire expires.
Israel and the United States have been preparing for a continuation of the war since the ceasefire began, sources familiar with the situation told the Hebrew-language network, including conducting exercises with fighter jets and aerial refueling tankers across the Middle East.
During last week’s visit of the head of United States Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, to Israel, joint plans and a “target bank” were approved, including strikes on national and energy infrastructure sites across Iran, the report said.
These strikes would be aimed at exerting additional pressure on Iran to agree to abandon its nuclear program and enriched uranium, the report added.
