Attack after attack in Kursk region
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian armed forces carried out 22 artillery strikes on populated border areas of the Kursk region, RIA Novosti reports.

The United States has issued a diplomatic protest to Ukraine over the attack on an oil facility in Novorossiysk
The U.S. sent the official diplomatic demarche following the strike on the Russian oil plant near Novorossiysk on the Black Sea, Ukrainian Ambassador to Washington Olha Stefanishyna reported.
She stated that she received the demarche — an official diplomatic notification — from the U.S. State Department regarding the matter.
According to Stefanishyna, the State Department indicated that Ukrainian attacks on Novorossiysk at the end of last year affected American investments carried out via Kazakhstan, CNN reports.
“We heard from the State Department that we should refrain from attacks on American interests,” Stefanishyna said at a press conference.
UN General Assembly adopts resolution on Ukraine; U.S. and China abstain
On Tuesday, on the fourth anniversary of the war in Ukraine, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) adopted a resolution supporting Ukraine. During the vote, the United States and China were among the countries that abstained, as did Serbia, while Russia and Belarus voted against it.
The document was drafted by Kyiv and supported by several European countries. The vote tally was 107 in favor, 12 against, and 51 abstentions, including Serbia, the U.S., Brazil, Uzbekistan, and others. The American delegation had pushed for a separate vote on provisions concerning Ukraine’s territorial integrity and international law, but this proposal was rejected, according to Frans24.
U.S. Deputy Ambassador to the UN Tammy Bruce stated that the resolution contains “language that is likely to distract” from diplomatic efforts to end the war rather than support them.
Zelensky: Trump administration did not pressure Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated last night that there was no pressure from the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a potential halt of arms deliveries to Ukraine if Kyiv did not agree to certain deadlines and conditions under negotiation.
“We did not receive any such information from President Trump’s administration, from his team, that we would not get weapons. I believe that the war situation itself is a significant pressure on Europeans, because they are the ones paying for American weapons, for which I am grateful. I am thankful that we can purchase weapons from them and that they have not blocked that option,” Zelensky said, according to Ukrinform.
Speaking to journalists after the Ukraine – Northern Europe and Baltic countries summit, he added that complex issues are discussed during negotiations, mainly related to territories, such as the case of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
69 drones destroyed
Russian air defense systems shot down 69 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions and the Black Sea last night, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
“Over the past night, air defense alert systems intercepted and destroyed 69 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles,” the statement said.
