Ukrainian forces claim strike on two Russian ships in the Caspian Sea
Ukrainian special forces, together with what they described as a local resistance movement, claim to have hit two Russian ships transporting weapons and military equipment in the Caspian Sea.
In a statement posted on Telegram, Ukrainian forces identified the vessels as “Kompozitor Rahmanjinov” and “Askar-Saridza”, both under U.S. sanctions for transporting military goods between Iran and Russia, according to Reuters.
Russian forces attacked a Ukrainian state-owned coal mine, two workers injured
At least two workers were injured when Russian forces struck a Ukrainian state-owned coal mine with drones, causing a fire, according to Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak.
"On the night of December 12, the enemy attacked one of the state-owned coal mines with drones for more than six hours. As a result of the strikes, a fire broke out on the premises, which was extinguished within a few hours," Andarak said, reports Ukrinform.
He added that two workers were injured in the attack and are receiving assistance.

Russia to reject the plan?
Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, who leads the Russian delegation in negotiations on the peace plan, stated that Moscow has not yet seen the revised U.S. peace plan for Ukraine, following Washington's consultations with Kyiv and European partners.
He emphasized that Russia could strongly oppose certain elements of the updated version, suggesting that the revisions could be unfavorable for Moscow.

One of Russia’s largest oil refineries is on fire
The Slavneft-JANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl, one of the five largest in Russia, is reportedly on fire after being hit in a nighttime drone strike, according to officials and local Telegram channels.
Residents reported at least seven explosions over the city, followed by reports of a fire at the Slavneft-JANOS refinery, located more than 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
