Trump’s son previously hinted that his father might withdraw from negotiations on Ukraine. Trump Jr., however, does not believe that Ukraine will be “abandoned,” but noted that “the American public does not want endless wars and the continued funding of Ukraine’s military efforts.” 

Zelensky stated a day earlier that he disagrees with Trump and that there is no compromise when it comes to Ukrainian territories.
