"Peace must be made on Russian terms"; the Russians are unstoppable, advancing at an incredible speed
Russia is now seizing Ukrainian territory at the fastest pace since the start of the war, reported the British Telegraph, citing the American Institute for the Study of War.
"The American think tank, the Institute for the Study of War, believes that the pace of advancement is approaching its highest since the first day of the invasion nearly four years ago... These successes will likely help convince Donald Trump that peace must be made on Russian terms and that sending weapons and aid to Kyiv is a waste of time," the publication's note states.
The report notes that Russian troops have advanced on several fronts in recent weeks. The former rail and logistics hub of Pokrovsk appears likely to fall after a long and bloody battle, while the neighboring Myrnohrad is close to encirclement. After Ukraine redeployed some of its best brigades and drone units to hold Pokrovsk, Russian forces were able to stretch their resources along a 1,000-kilometer front, creating vulnerable positions to the southeast and further north, the article says. As a result, Moscow has achieved steady progress in southern Zaporizhzhia and is close to capturing Kupiansk, a key stronghold under attack for two years.
According to data from the organization DeepState, the Russian military occupied nearly twice as much Ukrainian territory in November compared to the first month of autumn – 505 square kilometers. In September, it was 259 square kilometers, and in October, 267 square kilometers.
