Only 8.7 percent were against, while 24.2 percent were undecided or had no opinion, according to the survey, reports TVP World.

The online survey was conducted on September 23 and 24 among a representative sample of 846 adults.

NATO said on Tuesday it would use "all necessary military and other means" to defend itself after what it called "a pattern of increasingly irresponsible behavior" by Moscow.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Monday that his country will not hesitate to shoot down objects that violate its airspace and pose a threat.

On Tuesday, Lithuania's parliament gave the Baltic country's armed forces the power to shoot down any unmanned drone that violates its airspace following incidents in which two Russian drones were said to have crashed on its territory.

Some Western officials warned that these airspace violations were not accidental, but a deliberate attempt by Moscow to test NATO defenses before any potential conflict with the alliance, according to a Polish TV channel.
