Chinese President Xi Jinping could visit Serbia on May 7, the day that falls on the 25th anniversary of the NATO attack on the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, writes the Russian agency TASS, referring to Bloomberg.

It is noted that the exact date of the visit, which would be part of the Chinese president's tour, has not yet been approved and could change.

The visit of the Chinese leader to the country that did not support Western sanctions against Russia "will clearly show that China intends to continue to stand by Russia and deepen its partnership with it," said an expert from the New York-based Asia Society Policy research center.

Xi Jinping's European tour includes France and Hungary, reports TASS.
