The world is still waiting...
It remains uncertain how Israel will respond to Iran's attacks. The Israeli prime minister's cabinet is divided on the issue, and Israel's ally the US is telling Netanyahu that the response must be restrained.
A group of independent experts, appointed by the UN Human Rights Council, announced that Israel violated international law by attacking the Iranian consulate in Damascus. On the other hand, Josep Borrell announces EU sanctions against Iran, regarding the attack on Israel.
During that time, the Israeli Defense Forces continue bombing the Gaza Strip, as well as Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. In the latest attack, three people were killed, and Israel claims that the commander of Hezbollah was among them.

The Committee of the United Nations Security Council to consider the admission of Palestine as a full member of the UN announced that it failed to make a unanimous recommendation on the matter.
The authorities of Palestine may ask for a vote in the UN this week on accepting that state as a full member of the UN, which would practically mean recognizing Palestine as a state, reports Reuters.
So far, the independence of Palestine, which currently has observer status in the UN, has been recognized by 138 of the 193 members of that body.
Palestine's application must be approved by the UN, where the United States, Israel's ally, can veto the vote.
