The Houthis announced a comprehensive air blockade of Israel and attacks on Israeli airports
Yemen's Houthi rebel group announced today that it will work to impose a comprehensive air blockade on the "Israeli enemy" by repeatedly targeting airports, primarily Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, reports Saba.
They called on all international airlines to take into account the content of this statement from the moment of its publication and to cancel all scheduled flights to Israeli airports, in order to preserve the safety of their aircraft.
The Houthis have stated that Yemen will not accept attacks on Arab countries such as Lebanon and Syria.
"This confirms that this nation will not be afraid of conflict and will reject submission," the Houthis said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier today that Israel will respond to the Houthis and their Iranian "masters" after the Tehran-backed Yemeni rebel group launched a missile attack on Israel's main international airport.
"Houth attacks are coming from Iran," Netanyahu wrote on the X platform.
He pointed out that Israel will respond to the Houthi attack at a time and place of its choosing when it targets "their Iranian terrorist masters".
Earlier this morning, a ballistic missile of Houthis landed in the Ben Gurion Airport area after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) failed to intercept it.
Major foreign airlines, including Germany's Lufthansa and France's Air France, suspended flights to Tel Aviv until at least Tuesday after the attack.
