Hamas to release a large number of hostages?
According to the new ceasefire proposal in Gaza, Hamas is willing to release a large number of hostages, the Times of Israel reported today, citing the Saudi channel Al Arabiya.
According to reports, the draft of the new agreement is in the final stage, and Hamas has given initial consent to increase the number of hostages it would release.
The negotiations, the Times of Israel recalls, are at a standstill due to Israel's demand that Hamas release 11 hostages in exchange for a ceasefire, while the Palestinian militant organization offers to release five.
According to Al Arabiya, the United States has told Hamas that it will pressure Israel to enter into negotiations to end the war.
