At least four people, including three children, were killed in the storms that affected the American Midwest and Southeast of the country, AP reported today.
In Michigan, after a tree fell on a van, a brother and sister, aged two and four, and their 11-year-old cousin were killed, and three other people were injured.
A 34-year-old man was killed in Indiana when an Amish trailer overturned due to strong winds.
Winds in southwest Ohio on Sunday night toppled a church steeple, damaged homes and overturned campers, and at least four tornadoes were reported.
There were three tornadoes in Kentucky, but no injuries.
In Dothan, Alabama, five students suffered minor injuries when a storm caused part of a high school roof to collapse.
The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for at least 11 states.
