According to the average temperatuer at 4:00 p.m., 40 degrees were measured in Ćuprija.

It is a degree lower in Kraljevo, Leskovac, Niš and Vranje.

It is 35 degrees in Belgrade.

The Republic Hydrometeorological Institute warns of a very strong and long-lasting heat wave with maximum temperatures of 37 to 40 degrees Celsius, and on Friday and Saturday locally up to 43 degrees.

The heat wave in the coming days will further contribute to the increase in the risk of starting and spreading fires in the open air, according to RHMZ.
