Brnabić: 75 percent of elementary schools and more than 80 percent of secondary schools work regularly
The President of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabić, said today that 75 percent of elementary schools are working regularly, while only one school is in a complete suspension of work.

According to her, more than 80 percent of secondary schools hold classes at full capacity.
"The situation in schools is quite good. It's not ideal, but it's getting much better. At the moment, we have over 70 percent of elementary schools working in a regular regime. All teachers hold classes for 45 minutes, over 75 percent, and only one elementary school in the whole of Serbia, out of 1,254 elementary schools, is in total suspension," Brnabić told Pink.
She added that it is the Elementary School "Dositej Obradović" in Omoljica near Pancevo.
As for secondary schools, the situation is getting better, the speaker of the parliament pointed out, adding that 58 secondary schools are in total suspension as of today.
"Last Friday, we had 71, but that's 58 out of 1,767 secondary schools in the Republic of Serbia. In the case of high schools, you now have, for example, the case of the Sombor High School, where practically the entire team, led by the principal, wants to work, but you have 20 students who occupied the school under false pretenses, that is, they are sleeping there and no one wants to physically evict them. This is a problem, but overall, you have over 80 percent of high schools that work at full capacity, so all the teachers hold classes 45 minutes," said Brnabić.
