Vučić in Putinci: We kept our promise; I am proud of everything we have done in Srem PHOTO
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, attended the opening of a new sports hall in Putinci near Ruma this evening and emphasized that the promise had been fulfilled and that he was satisfied, as he could see smiles on the faces of all the children.
Vučić thanked the citizens for gathering in large numbers in Putinci.
“It is important that, even through small things, we show how much we care about people, that every person in all of Srem and throughout Serbia matters to us. There are still many things we can and must do, and that is why I invite you to tell us what is needed. We want to work together with you, to hear you, listen to you, and to do what you say and ask for,” he said.
He added that it is important to him to know how much the people have given to preserve the state.
“I know how well you understood that the state was under threat and how much you wanted to help, and for that I am endlessly grateful to you. Thanks to you and your strength, we managed to prevail, we managed to defend and preserve Serbia, and now we are looking only at how Serbia can move forward. Thank you for your support, I wish you all the best and successful work! Long live Putinci, long live Srem, long live Serbia,” he said.
“This hall in Putinci is beautiful. I am especially pleased that we saw smiles on the faces of these boys and girls and how eagerly they are waiting for us to leave so they can play handball, football and volleyball, and by the New Year basketball hoops will also be installed.
I wish for all the children to gather here, to use mobile phones as little as possible and balls as much as possible. That is the right way to grow up. This is how you learn how to win, how to lose, and that without hard work there are no serious results. That is why you must make an effort, fight, and never give up. Think about how to help one another, how to play as a team, because without teamwork there are no results.
I am proud of everything we have done in Srem. I ask you to continue working together with us and to point out what else needs to be done. Thank you endlessly for such a warm welcome. May you be alive and well, and may you wear out many balls,” Vučić said.
