Vučić: We'll do everything to ensure that army is a deterrent to any aggressor; We want to avoid all conflicts
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić visited the “Mija Stanimirović” barracks in Niš, where he stated that he would do everything to ensure that Serbia’s army serves as a deterrent to any potential aggressor.
“You can’t help but wonder what their goal is. We analyzed that today, but I wouldn’t share any conclusions. We will do everything to ensure that our army is a deterrent to any aggressor. The Croatian army is very strong, and they are arming themselves at a dramatic pace. We don’t like to talk too much, but we know exactly what we must do to remain a tough nut to crack for all those who are forming non‑principled military alliances in the region, and to always maintain a deterrent effect. We want to avoid all conflicts once and for all. But if someone becomes nervous over just 12 aircraft, then it’s clear what is happening in Europe and the world,” Vučić said during his visit to the barracks.
He also commented on the statement made by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who said in Berlin that NATO members are the next target of Russia.
Reporters asked him what his predictions were and whether that war would have more casualties than the Russian‑Ukrainian one.
“Of course it would be much, much larger, with ten times, or more than ten times the casualties of the Russian‑Ukrainian conflict,” Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić commented.
