Important visit to Uzbekistan; Vučić meets with the Speaker of Parliament: Grateful for the warm welcome
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, met today with the Speaker of the Uzbek Parliament, Tanzila Narbaeva, at the parliament building in Tashkent.
After the meeting, President Vučić signed the Book of Honorary Guests.
"With @tanzilanarbaeva on strengthening interparliamentary cooperation, exchanging legislative experiences, and increasing the participation of our institutions in regional initiatives.
We paid special attention to deepening the overall relations between Serbia and Uzbekistan, from the economy and investments, through agriculture, energy, and digitalization, to culture, education, and youth connections, with the aim of promoting concrete projects.
I am confident that today’s discussions will contribute to further bringing our countries closer, better cooperation between our parliaments, and new incentives for the development of a comprehensive partnership.
Grateful for the warm welcome and friendship that we once again confirmed today," Vučić wrote on Instagram.
Continuation of the visit and important events
Later, Vučić will participate in the Serbia–Uzbekistan business forum, attended by representatives of major companies interested in investing in Serbia.
Vučić will also visit the Center for Islamic Civilization, the IT Park, and the Techno Park industrial complex.
As part of the official visit, President Vučić will take part in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which will be held in Samarkand.
