Vučić ceremoniously welcomed in Uzbekistan; "We are building stronger ties" PHOTO
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who arrived today on an official visit to Uzbekistan, emphasized that Serbia and Uzbekistan are united by mutual respect, understanding, and a sincere desire for cooperation.
Vučić expressed the expectation that by signing a series of bilateral agreements, the political ties between the two countries would be further strengthened and economic cooperation enhanced.
In an Instagram post upon his arrival in Tashkent, Vučić stated that he anticipates the visit to Uzbekistan will be an important step in the further development of friendly and partnership relations between the two nations.
"Grateful and honored by the warm welcome in Tashkent. I am confident that through open and substantive dialogue, as well as the signing of a series of bilateral agreements, we will further strengthen our political ties, enhance economic cooperation, and foster connections in infrastructure, agriculture, education, culture, and digital technologies," Vučić wrote.
He added that upcoming discussions will help define new joint projects and initiatives that will provide concrete benefits to the citizens of both countries, as well as strengthen Serbia’s presence in this important Central Asian region.
"Serbia and Uzbekistan are united by mutual respect, understanding, and a sincere desire for cooperation, and these meetings will confirm our shared readiness to build even stronger bridges of friendship and trust," Vučić emphasized in his post on the account "buducnostsrbijeav."
President Vučić was given an official welcome at Tashkent airport, where he was greeted by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov.
