KFOR received reinforcements: Soldiers from three European countries arrived VIDEO
The KFOR mission in Kosovo, led by NATO, announced today that it was joined by soldiers from Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

The ceremony of raising the flags of those three countries was held at the headquarters of the KFOR mission, in the Film City camp in Pristina, according to a statement published on Facebook.
KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, who led the ceremony, said that the expansion of the mission testifies to its steadfast commitment to permanent security throughout Kosovo and regional stability, and through support for the dialogue for the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina under the auspices of the EU.
Since the beginning of 2024, soldiers from five European NATO members have joined the KFOR mission. In addition to Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, France and Portugal also did so in January and September 2024.
KFOR stated in the statement that it continues to contribute to a safe environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo, in accordance with its long-standing mandate received from the UN, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999, at all times and impartially, and in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and the EULEX mission.
