Vučić: Thank you for making this day, April 12, so big, important and festive PHOTO/VIDEO
President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, addressed the people of our country from the national rally "We will not give up Serbia".

At the beginning of the national assembly "We will not give Serbia", the Grbović sisters performed the Serbian national anthem "God of Justice". The program was hosted by actor Lazar Ristovski and journalist Lidija Makragić.
At the beginning of his speech, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, thanked everyone "for this wonderful day" and for the enormous support.
"Infinite and big thanks for this wonderful day, thanks to you from Kosovo and Metohija who came to Belgrade to show how much you love your capital. I want to thank all of you from Montenegro, Republika Srpska, North Macedonia, everyone. Thank you Belgraders for the huge support. Today you could see only smiles. There were no arguments, no problems anywhere. Thank you for making this day so important and festive," he said and added:
"It's been 13 years since I held a position in the state. I did my best to make the country better, I want to tell you that we would never have been able to do that if it weren't for you. You who understood well everything we did and when it was the most difficult, when we didn't have financial means in the budget. You understood that we were healing the country so that today we would have the highest salaries in Serbian history. We started to raise the country. We had a migrant crisis, Covid, but we managed to push through. We obtained vaccines and respirators because we fought day and night to protect our people, and then the Ukrainian crisis followed. They said that we would not survive with our attitude, and we stuck to our policy with pride, regardless of all the pressures we were exposed to. And don't forget, the economic crisis is coming. We pushed country further and further, Serbia was the second fastest growing country in Europe. This year, if they had not done this, we would have been the fastest growing economy in Europe," said Vučić.
He presented the information that the police announced that there were 145,000 people at the rally.
"Do you hear the silence, people, how honest Serbia will no longer suffer your cruelty? No one is afraid of you anymore. There is no more fear. Not a single tire on the tractors has been punctured, not a single window has been broken," he said.
About the colored revolution
He says that the attack came from outside because some from abroad do not want a free and independent Serbia, a country that will make its own decisions.
"They want us to be weak followers and implement other people's policies. Our people have always been free and libertarian, to make their own decisions and it will be like that in the future as well. You cannot break the spine of the Serbian people," says Vučić.
He added that the color revolution is over.
"They made a key mistake - maybe everything would have worked out for them, but they made a big mistake. In all that great aggression, people saw that they were going to destroy our country, and you can touch all Serbs, we always complain about something, but we have a wonderful feature that many do not have - when someone touches our country, then we all unite and follow our tricolor and do not let anyone destroy our country. It is over with their colored revolution, there is nothing of that," said Vučić.
On the Movement
"We need new energy and strength. We have many wonderful people in all parties. But we need a new plan and that's why there is a movement, that's why we started with educated people to build a movement, but a people's movement, every worker, peasant, housewife, honest man who fights for his country is welcome. That's why you're all welcome. It's the movement which should remind us of the most important values of society. The movement should remind us of who we live for. We have to think about what we're going to leave to our children," he said.
On European road
"We have to take a good look at our position in the world. We have important tasks, we will always have to preserve the constitution and the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, while preserving peace in the region, we must also take care of our people in the RS, we will have to protect the rights of our people without interfering in anyone's internal affairs and that in Montenegro they can speak the Serbian language as their great-grandfathers told them, to develop the economy. Whatever they have done to us - we will fight and we will manage to be in the first three growing economies in Europe," he said.
"We have a large number of arrogant local sheriffs who won't talk to the people. And if you don't want to, they'll be replaced by those who want to talk to the people. That's not the Serbia we're fighting for. Vučić ordered you to work for the people, that's why the movement will be established," he said.
About schools and colleges
During his address, Vučić referred to educators, students and professors at the faculties who are in the lockout, and said that those who do not work will not even receive salaries. He also says that "in the previous period, we could see that those who are in the lockout", as he says, are breaking state institutions piece by piece and that they have struck at what is most sacred, which, he says, are our children, our students and our pupils".
"They hit the most sacred to us, our children, pupils, students. If someone had told me that we were going to criticize students who want to study, and praise those who don't and have demands... Speaking of which, do you remember those demands? The only thing I remembered was that their professors asked us for money. And that's the only thing they admitted. That's why for those professors who do nothing and think they should strip the state and steal money, there is no money! Potatoes for you until you start working! End of story. Complain to whoever you want. Here you have hard working people, peasants, all of you, dear people, who work for all of us and for them. Well, they didn't sit on a chair in their classroom and in their amphitheater. Those who did not sit in the classroom have no salary. Start working, you will get money, everything will be paid on time. Until you start working, there is no money. Period," Vucic said.
Five demands
We, the citizens gathered at the "We will not give Serbia" assembly, demand from the prosecutor's office, within the scope of their constitutional and legal competences, to initiate proceedings in order to restore order and peace in the country:
1. To establish full respect for the constitution and laws, the security of Serbia and its citizens, and to return the institutions to the citizens as bearers of national sovereignty
2. To determine the legal responsibility of all persons who participated in vandal attacks on citizens during peaceful gatherings, and especially the instigators of peaceful events in Niš.
3. To enable every pupil and student to go to school and study if they want to
4. To reveal the perpetrators, instigators and helpers in carrying out attacks on vital objects and institutions
5. To prevent any activity that arbitrarily paralyzes economic activity and prevents citizens from carrying out life activities
"We will not give up until every demand is fully met," said Vučić.
"For me, this is the biggest gathering at which I speak. We had many difficult moments, many sleepless nights. When it seemed that we fell, we got up quickly. I would never have been able to get up if I didn't know that I had your support. Without you, I am nobody and nothing. With you, together and united, we can do everything. Thank you for your support in all elections, for love, for everything. No one came here to beat and attack anyone. People came because of the idea of a free, independent and successful Serbia. It is difficult to unite people around the idea. We need to protect women, not to attack them. Women saved Serbia for us, they always looked to the future. Thank you, dear women, for being more responsible than men''.
On students in lockout
"I want to thank these young people in Ćaciland, I prefer this name more than Pionirski Park. I am also Ćaci and we are all Ćaci. Let me tell them, thank you for staying strong through the night in the rain, but I also want to call the blockaders and say children, go back to schools and classes. Serbia needs you, welcome to a successful Serbia, we are waiting for you and we want to work and live with you. I believe in the youth of Serbia and those who think differently, they are also the future of Serbia and we must be united. Show that you see that Serbia is moving forward, but you must join the train of the future and prosperity with other students," Vučić told the students in the lockout.
About the transitional government
"They said 'transitional government' so that the worst could come to power. I swear: there will be no transitional government, there will be an honest Serbian government. There is no victory of the colored revolution. I promise that I will fight as long as I live, I will protect Serbia together with you and Serbia will win. We will not give Serbia, long live Serbia. Thank you, thank you, thank you to heaven. Long live Serbia," he said at the end of his speech.
At the end of the speech by Vučić, who raised a banner with the Serbian flag, with the song "This is Serbia", fireworks started from several locations - from the roof of the National Assembly of Serbia, the building of the Main Post Office and other buildings.
The people were previously addressed by: Miloš Pavlović, a third-year student at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade, Marija Stanković, a medical student in Niš, prof. Dr. Miroslav Pešić from the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš, head of the Department of History, President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, Djuro Raca, father of Goranka Raca, who died on November 1, 2024, when the canopy fell at the Novi Sad Railway Station, and Diana Raškaj from Lazarevac, a teacher by profession, mother of three children, the eldest of whom, Vasilije, suffers from cystic fibrosis and who received medicine at the expense of the state in March 2025.
