Vučić after the meeting with the Russian Ambassador: We talked about urgent issues, topics, including NIS
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met today with Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.
The beginning of the meeting, as previously announced, was planned at nine o'clock, and the president of Serbia, after talking with the Russian ambassador, announced himself on Instagram.
"An open and friendly conversation with Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko about all important aspects of cooperation between Serbia and the Russian Federation, current international events and the role of our countries in the new geopolitical context. We also discussed urgent issues, such as the most optimal solutions for NIS and new modalities of further cooperation in light of the growing pressures on the global energy market. I reiterated the importance that Serbia attaches to the comprehensive strengthening of ties with the Russian Federation. We will continue to work on strengthening our bilateral relations and common interests, in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect," announced Vučić.
Let's recall that yesterday the Kremlin accepted the apology of Serbian President Vučić for Serbia's support for the anti-Russian resolution on Ukraine at the UN. "Technical errors happen", says the spokesman of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
"Of course, we heard, of course, we accepted. Of course, technical errors happen and, of course, we are very impressed by such a quick reaction of the head of state," Peskov told reporters.
