Honorary column of cars with Serbian tricolors; "Victory for all Serbs who endured the terror of Kurti" VIDEO
President of the Serb List, Zlatan Elek, said last night that the Serb List is the absolute winner of the elections for the assembly in Pristina and that all 10 mandates that are intended for Serbs are in the hands of the Serb List and the Serbian people.
At the press conference in Kosovska Mitrovica, Elek emphasized that this is the result based on the counting of all votes in all Serbian communities in Kosovo and Metohija.
"We won close to 40,000 votes in difficult, unequal and impossible conditions," Elek pointed out and added that before the elections, the most brutal campaign against the Serbian List was conducted and that Aljbin Kurti carried out terror against all Serbs.
Elek thanked all the citizens and all the exiled Serbs who came and voted for Srpska lista.
"We also thank our president, Aleksandar Vučić, for his congratulation and strong support to our people, not only today but all these years. We have only one homeland and one president, we don't have another country, nor are we looking for one," Elek said.
He also thanked the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković, as well as all party activists who fought day and night in the unequal war.
"Today, by voting, the Serbian people showed Kurti and the international community, whom they trust the most, that they do not accept his occupation of the north and to what extent the people are allegedly satisfied, as they say, with his policy, and I say the occupation, not the policy and the presence of heavily armed parapolicemen in Serbian areas," said Elek.
He pointed out that this is a victory for all Serbs who endured Kurti's terror, but who also showed yesterday that they are not afraid of him and that he wasn't telling the truth when he said that the Serbs turned to him and Pristina.
"This is a victory for all those Serbs, our brothers and sisters who are not in Kosovo today, and who contributed to this magnificent victory," concluded Elek.
Cars with Serbian flags paraded through the central streets of the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, and on the main promenade Serbian traditional songs could be heard and Serbian flags were hoisted.
The celebration on the central promenade was followed by three patrols of the so-called Kosovo police.
