The third day of the World Economic Forum begins in Davos today, with Serbia represented by President Aleksandar Vučić, who will hold numerous bilateral meetings with world leaders throughout the day.
Meeting with Guy Parmelin on strengthening economic and overall coperation between Serbia and Switzerland
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met with President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmelin at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
"A good discussion with Guy Parmelin on strengthening economic and overall cooperation between Serbia and Switzerland, building on both the results we have already achieved and the strong interest of Swiss companies in a stable and predictable business environment," Vučić wrote on his Instagram profile.
"We exchanged views on the key challenges shaping Europe today and agreed that in times of increasing risks, we must build partnerships that deliver measurable results, more investments, more innovations, and more quality jobs," he added.
Switzerland, as the host of Davos and a country with strong institutions, demonstrates how important stability, responsibility, and dialogue are in times when the world is changing faster than ever. That is why I emphasized that Serbia will continue to work on creating an environment where investments are protected and plans are implemented on schedule, he concluded.
He also announced the upcoming visit of Guy Parmelin to Serbia.

Trump on his way to Davos; to speak this afternoon
The presidential plane carrying U.S. President Donald Trump on its way to Davos, Switzerland, returned to Maryland less than an hour after takeoff due to a “minor electrical issue,” White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said.
Trump departed for Davos an hour later on a different plane, CBS reports.
Leavitt told reporters aboard the presidential plane that after taking off from Joint Base Andrews, the crew identified a “minor electrical problem” and, out of caution, decided to turn back and return to the base.
The plane returned to the base at 11:07 PM local time, after which Trump boarded a new plane that departed for Davos around midnight.
