Germans are only interested in what they can dominate, so they are unhappy that certain countries such as the UK, Poland or Hungary are not willing for them to take the lead. A German domination of Europe is the last thing that we need or want (we all know what that leads to) and anything that stops them is the right thing for Europe. To misquote Kennedy, "As a free man I am proud to say "Ich bin KEIN Berliner".

"At the same time, 67 percent think "the key weakening of the cohesion" happened because of Brexit. These respondents are also in favor of "a tough approach" to Britain's EU exit negotiations."
The tilt in the runup to Brexit was Germany's unilateral decision to invite everybody and their kitchen sink in.

"Germany's leading role in the EU is also supported by a majority - 59 percent want to see this role "further expanded.""
The rest of Europe does not want this at all! They are fed up with "Germany's leading role". It led to economic inequality in Europe due to Germany's 'cheap Euro'; to austerity and the continent being flooded with migrants.

"As many as 73 percent of Germans think the migrant crisis can only be solved at the European level, while many also believe other EU member-states have left Germany "in the lurch" during the crisis."
Hey, if you like your migrants you can keep them. If you don't like them, you can keep them as well. Blame Mutti, not the rest of Europe.
