Exactly, you thinking otherwise is laughable. I based my comment on Putin's action's, not his words or promisses since he has shown that his words or promisses are worthless.
(icj1, 30 November 2016 01:38)
Since you are such a great observer of Putin action’s what do they say to you? It seems that many countries are unable to guess perhaps you might give them a clue? It would be interesting to hear something other than usual hair-splitting commentary.

That's great especially since it's a good thing for Kosovo, too since Russia is a principled country that supports the secession of a province from a country if that's the desire of the majority of that province's population.
I hate to burst your bubble but Russia does not support secessions at all mate. Russia is a major world power and all major powers adopt the same mantra – don’t do as I do, but do as I tell you. Surely you have seen the US do exactly the same thing. Major powers do as they please.

Exactly when Russia withdrew from the Balkans, it was not the same Russia as in 99/2000, so yes time for you to wake up and realise that we're not in 1999/2000 and it is Putin that controls Russia, not Yeltsin.
(icj1, 30 November 2016 01:38)
What? We know that this is not 1999/2000. You may want to rewrite this one because it does not make sense. Your response sounds like its coming out of a petulant child. If you can’t reply to an argument its always better to keep quiet

You must live in the US to write this nonsense about Russia in fear of price of oil while the US is upbeat and its economy is on the rise LOL. Perhaps you might read why Trump was elected and it might give you a clue how well the US has been going. The average worker in the US has not received a proper wage rise for the last 30 years. Yes they had inflation adjustments but not a proper wage rise.
The shale oil companies that were producing that “cheap oil” are filing for bankruptcy at a very high rate and do you think that they produced that oil at $45 per barrel? It costs anywhere between $70 and $90 per barrel depending on the process. Guess who makes up the difference? The US taxpayer.
Then there are corporations like Exonn and countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE that are suffering so you will find it not just Russia that is having a tough time. In short the US is also suffering.
The latest joke amongst asylum seekers – Mohammed attained his American dream, he received asylum in Germany.
As far as Serbs starving, please stop playing with yourself. I can understand the Russians not coming to Serbs aid, but what happened to your western bros? why are they not investing in Kosova? Why are they forcing Pristina to sign onto the Brussels agreement which is detrimental to Albanians??????

Ari,
If the situation has improved in Russia, why have they not returned to Kosova to help free the starving Serbs. The fact of the matter is Putin keeps doubling down in hopes that the price of oil rises dramatically in order to bail Russia out of its declining economy. You are oblivious to the fact that OPEC met today in hopes of cutting the production of oil so as to cause its price to rise. However, OPEC is seriously divided and is about to implode. That spells Russia's, hence Serbia's, demise. Whose time is it to wake up.

Here is my prediction.Come next April and Fillon will be history. He's part of the establisment and pro-eu and pro-globalisation.Le pen will win by a wide margin. She will deal with the allahu ak bar desciples in a very firm way.
(andrew,

I don’t disagree with your prediction. Fillon carries a lot of baggage from his his time as prime minister and people do not forgive and forget. His current policies do not exhibit any vote winning aura either .His plans to sack 500000 civil servants ( personally i am not against it), get rid of the 35 hour working week, extend the national retirement age and deregulate further the labour markets through globalization are not vote winning policies.I can imagine there are millions of French voters who would be affected by these changes, and I suspect most of them would soon start to think Le Pen is the better alternative.

But Putin has no interest to a greater Russian role in the Balkans which would require Russia to waste money there. Putin had the Russian soldiers in Kosovo and withdrew them.

The French are like the rest of the western people. They want a determined person that will right many wrongs but in a politically correct way so that fingers do not get pointed at them and be called racists. Here is some news for the deluded French, you can’t make an omelette without breaking an egg. The Muslim solution is very easy. Don’t take them in. All you have to do is go to Marseille and see for yourself what African refugees have made out of that once great city. It’s a cess pool of crime and religious fanaticism.
I don’t understand who writes this rubbish about containing Putin. Angela Merkel has about as much chance of containing Putin as Kim Jung un has of becoming the UN Secretary. How is she going to contain him? Sanctions? They don’t work and never could because you need the rest of the world to impose them not just the west. In fact these sanctions are hurting the EU much more than Russia.
Now if the US could not contain Russia in Syria, (the Syrian government is about to take control of Allepo and its all over red rover) how could Merkel hope to do anything to Putin? Talk of contain Russia or China are only upbeat stories for western population consumption.

There we have it ,the French election being fought between the far-right and the right which has stolen most of Le Pen’s clothes.Neo-Liberals and the left are in total disarray since they have completely failed to articulate a response to the financial crisis and to both the migrant crisis and the question of integration. Because according to the neo-liberals and the EU elites it is bigoted, racist and xenophobic to raise the issue of immigration, and even worse to utter the word “integration”.It seeme the West is returning to big-power politics with all its historical baggage.

Ari Gold

Fillon is a great worst-case scenario for Serbia. His main challenger Marine Le Pen and her FN party are explicitly pro-Serbian. But while Fillon has not yet expressed anything regarding Serbia, like Trump, if he continues to challenge the neocon warmongering policy of confrontation with Russia, then this can only mean good things for Serbia. The less Serbia is forced to "choose" between the West and Russia, the better. Fillon would also be more sympathetic to a greater Russian role in the Balkans.

The winds of change are very favorable for Serbia right now, if its government is in a position to exploit it. Be on the look out for Austria. On December 4th, Norbert Hofer could become the next President. He recently visited Serbia. His party believes in independence for Republika Srpska but NOT for Kosovo-Metohija. They are very pro-Serb!

What? We know that this is not 1999/2000. You may want to rewrite this one because it does not make sense. Your response sounds like its coming out of a petulant child. If you can’t reply to an argument its always better to keep quiet

But Putin has no interest to a greater Russian role in the Balkans which would require Russia to waste money there. Putin had the Russian soldiers in Kosovo and withdrew them.

You sound like these morons here in America who say stuff like "Putin wants...", or "Putin thinks..." and continue on with nothing more than an uninformed opinion because none of you have any idea in hell what's going on in the brain of the Russian President. To think otherwise is laughable.

In my statement, I said nothing definitive. I only stuck to the facts, France's political leadership will very likely turn pro-Russia regardless of Fillon or Le Pen win and this is a good thing for Serbia. So please spare me your baseless ideas of what you think the strategy is for Russian leadership.

And ya, Russia pulled out of Kosovo-Metohija. But that was a long time ago man. I can see why it's in your interest to live in the past as much as possible. But come on, during that time it wasn't foreseeable for Russia to intervene in the way that they have in Syria 2016. Russia is not the same as it was in 99/2000. Time to wake up little guy.
