"Serbia has no intention of joining anti-Russia sanctions"

Some Serbs are saying Serbia won't join anti-Russia sanctions even when Serbia joins EU :)

Serbs will never join in the sanctions against Russia, not that these sanctions are affective on Moscow anyway. It would be the greatest travesty against a close and valued friend who has stood by Serbia and who has removed the threat of Kosovo joining UNESCO and vetoed that so called Pommy draft UN resolution on Srebrenica.
It would be cutting one’s own throat because Serbs do not have friends in the west like Russia.
On the issue of joining the EU let me just add that Kosovo will never be recognised, Serbia will never join in any sanctions against Russia. Serbia will never withdraw from any free trade agreements its made with Russia or China and it will never join NATO.
Many people think I’m just supporting my side, but here is a predictions; the EU will buckle on all these issue just like they have buckled on so many other important matters. This is all on the proviso that the EU survives the next 12 months, but there is more of a chance of the EU falling apart just like the Schengen agreement.

As Serbia supports Russia's misbehaviour, there should be no surprise when consequences accrue.

Putin has become more like Milosevic as time goes on - control of the press, military adventurism, lies.

I am surprised that Serbia has been sucked in again - this time by an over-ambitious egotist like Putin.

I disagree with you Bob.

If I am to judge those two leaders (Milosevic and Putin) in named areas - control of the press, military adventurism, lies...I would think that Putin has surpassed Milosevic.
On the imaginary scale from 0 to 10 Milosevic would be around 3, Putin , perhaps 5.
Western countries vary, some are better then others, but generally 8 to 9 on average.
