The war statrted because of a criminal killed for criminal reasons? Seems funny. Serbs started it and wanted to divide BiH. The reality was that it started because of the criminal Bosniak Serb leadership wanting full control over the territory of BiH. They regularly used Alija's much earlier Islamic Declaration as propaganda to create fear, even though in his own book he wanted conciliation between West and Islamic law, he only opposed enforced secularisation by the West. He wanted Bosnia to preserve its culture and cited the example of Japan, a non-Muslim country completely different. Even by the time of independence, he wasn't making any hateful speeches nor even was calling for Islamic state. But still Serbs didn't stop the propaganda, even accysing him of inciting Mujahideen, when it was the Croats facilitating their travel as Bosnianks were poorly-equipped under embargo. It is known the Slobodan agreed with keeping BiH in Serbia, but disagreed with Serbian supremacy in Bosnia and exclusion or taking away rights of Muslims.

So did the SDA ever pay Ramiz Delalic for his shooting the Sarajevo Serbs at their own wedding party?
The mainstream media covered up what the gangsters running Sarajevo were doing during the war.
Also, it was the Bosnian Muslim controlled part of Sarajevo where people were blocked from leaving. That is why the "international community" had to pressure Izetbegovic to allow the buses of Sarajevo Jews to leave for Belgrade.
The Serbian-controlled parts of Sarajevo, which including the suburbs, did not keep people from leaving if they wanted.
Also, the Bosnian Muslim forces in Sarajevo were far more numerous and they did have their soldiers stationed on the mountains, including part of Mount Igman, and they had most all the high ground within Sarajevo.
They staged and provoked attacks throughout the war knowing the media would blame or imply it was Serbs.
They also had their snipers using "several buildings" in the infamous Sniper's Alley, according to UN officers who were living in Sarajevo during the war.
The Bosniak snipers were constantly provoking the Serbs and were shooting people within their own lines to have Serbs blamed. It was their M.O.

Sure, never mind the fact that serbs were attacking villages such as Ravno the year prior to the wedding shooting, thats perfectly fine, but when a gangster shoots another gangster after those events, thats when the war started of course. Just don't say that serbs killing an archduke started ww1

There should be a correction made to B92's article.
Bosnia's constitution stated the republic may secede from Yugoslavia if two thirds of the population vote to secede. Bosnian Muslims and Bosnian Croats were not able to meet the constitutional threshold for secession with their referendum. That is a fact. Therefore their declaration of independence was illegal.

Yes, we all remember the 3+ years siege of Sarajevo and the suffering of the Serbian forces and snipers in the hills surrounding it.

Hardly news that Izetbegovic started the war in Bosnia, though it is good to hear it here. The real problem is that the US, UK and western Europe not only supported Izetbegovic's crimes, they covered up for him at the International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia at the Hague.

Izetbegovic was in fact secretly investigated by the ICTY, but all information gathered was permanently sealed forever on his death. This coming from the ICTY which still publicly proclaims that uncovering the injustices committed during the wars need to be brought to light to help reconciliation in the region. They lied in the beginning, they lied in the middle and they are still lying now.

Maybe someone should be bothered to ask Fikret Abdic who once again runs Velika Kladusa (this time as mayor) about Izetbegovic's crimes and using the ArBiH & Iranian mujahedeen to atttack him and his followers. Fikret Abdic was done for war crimes, Izetbegovic was let off scott free.

Just to clarify who Fahrudin Radoncic is, he is a media tycoon and the head of the SBB political party who is in a coalition with the SDA that is ran by the son of Alija Izetbegovic! Yes, he accuses the SDA and the father of his own coalition partner for starting the war in Bosnia. Serbs of RS have known this for decades now, and it's great that one of their own has admitted this. Serbs had to rightfully take drastic measure to protect their existence in Bosnia, but they did not start the war. It's great that the Bosniak state mafia is being exposed for the criminals they are.
