I see the usual suspects from the Serb peanut gallery are at it again, offering their unsolicited meaningless opinions. Since none of you live in either the UK or US, it is really none of your business. However, if you must pipe in, keep in mind, it was a Nonbinding Referendum. None of you would be able to recognize Democracy even if it hit you between the eyes! Oh, I forgot, it did smack you between the eyes back in 1999. Hee, hee, hee.

It is binding baby otherwise Cameron would not have resigned and there is no backing away from that mate LOL.

To do otherwise would destroy the very fabric of UK society as a democracy.

Enjoy hee, heee, hee, hee.

I posted a quote from Cameron saying that the British people would want article 50 sent immediately.

That's what exiters expected to happen.

B92 either didn't get the quote or didn't post it.

brexit blah...
it was a non-binding referendum from the get go. the voter's decision does not need to be taken into account -- it was done to sense the mood of the population. a 52-48 vote is certainly not overwhelming of offer a clear direction from the populous. So, democratically speaking, the hired (voted) representatives now have to do their work -- not blindly listen to either the population, nor their party members. They all need to take a sobering look at it and make the final call.
that is the democratic (republic) model of uk.

so many people getting all wound up about a non-binding referendum...

The U.S.A meddling in European politics again.
Corruption is rife.
When a referendum goes in favour of western beliefs then it's final.
When it goes against their wishes it is not the end of the matter.
What next? A new referendum till it goes back in favour of the corrupt leaders.

This really is proof that the word "democracy" is only used when it favours the powers otherwise it is thrown out the window and decisions imposed when it doesn't work. Much like the system in the EU. Cameron must step down and let someone competent from the leave side do the work. The sooner the better.
