Let the ustashe and bosnian ISIS start another war. Without Nato to back you up neither croats, albanians nor muslims stand a chance against Serbs. We proved it once and will do it again if we have to.
(MikeC, 31 May 2016 16:21)

You proved you excel at slaughtering civillians and comitting attrocities, and fighting after confiscating weapons from the opposing side and using local Serbs as a fifth column.

You also proved your uselesness in actual warfare - read up about Operation Flash and other military vs. military engagements leading up to Storm. It will clarify any myths you had about Croatia's fighting capabilities.

Regarding your other comment, no military personal were leaving Croatia since they were either killed in action or captured - or quite poissibly fleeing in civilian clothing.

Just make sure you have enough batteries for those two functional Migs. Otherwise you will end up with another loss to celebrate.

You mean Cavic et al? There were a handful of people in Banja Luka and you call that a movement. Cavic is a paid by the US. He yearns for power and would sell his own mother for a few Euros.
Izetbegovic has far less scope to be an autocrat than Dodik…. Are you joking? I see the same names and faces from the Federation side of politics in power and you claim Dodik is an autocrat but Izzy is a democrat. Stop playing with yourself.
The west supports Milo Djukanovic and he has been President/Prime Minster and in power since 2006. I suppose that is democracy in action.
You mentioned a free press so please tell me where do you have this free press?
The west wants RS to disappear so that Bosnia joins NATO, recognises Kosovo etc. It’s a simple as that.
Please walk away from this site and stop talking about things you have no idea about. First go to Bosnia and spend time there then comment.

(Dwight, 1 June 2016 16:58)

No, because of some 'representatives of the people of Kosovo' (whatever their legitimation as 'representatives' have been) declared an UDI, and this happened years after the UN protectorate of Kosovo was created and the international community stopped the atrocities by Serbian paramilitaries.

Yes, we can talk about the other half of Bosnia and indeed about other struggling Eastern European countries not least Romania and Bulgaria, but this article was about the RS and Dodik so this is where I addressed my comments. I am no fan of Izetbegovic as you know from reading my previous comments, many of which you have replied to, but he has far less scope to be an autocrat than Dodik not least because he is part of a rotating Presidency not the ultimate wielder of authority as Dodik is. A lot of people knocking the RS.

Life is better there than in Sarajevo (which is a far greater fiefdom and is a terrorist security threat in Europe).

Serbs just need to keep defending their legally guaranteed Republic status by sending out messages this every year.

There is no need to go independent, they are already mostly independent (and that is good enough).

Anyone who doesn't like it can keep complaining. It's never going to change anything.

It is hypocrisy to deliberately engage in the breakup of Yugoslavia to now want to recreate it in Bosnia. Not gonna happen.

Dwight

It is apparent that the Serbs of Bosnia do not wish to be part of a state governed by muslims. Therefore, they wish to break way from this and become independent.
It is their right to do so and whoever is against this should justify why this is different to the kosovo case.
(skepticism, 1 June 2016 11:14)

There are very few cases where a piece of a country has declared independence and been recognised. Terrotorial integrity has been a very important part of international rules since 1945 and you cannot break away and become independent just because you wish to be.

Even Kosovo is still not recognised fully after 24 years of trying and they have many valid reasons to be allowed to be independent. What makes you think RS would be recognised by anyone?

skepticism

@ the albanos saying that kosovo is a unique case and that Banja Luka is different

Republika Srpska has a population of 1.44 M of people. All of them speaking the same language, have the same religion. They have everything that is required to break away from muslims, and they should. All they need is political determination.

Kosovo was a "unique" case, but this is just political bullshit sold to the masses. In legal terms, this created a basis, a pattern for entities to become independent. If the people of Republika Srpska vote for independence, initially the new entity will not be recognised by many (especially the US) but things change.

albano-islamists had the support of germans, UK and US. Republika Srpska will have support from other entities. Remember: things change, friendships change too.

Banja luka deserves to break away from the ISIS-friendly Bosnia.

B&H consists of two "autonomous" entities, see Wikipedia, "Bosnia and Herzegovina"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosnia_and_Herzegovina

"Bosnia and Herzegovina has a bicameral legislature and a three-member Presidency composed of a member of each major ethnic group. However, the central government's power is highly limited, as the country is largely decentralized and comprises two autonomous entities: the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, with a third region, the Brčko District, governed under local government."

He wants to continue to rule as an autocrat in his own fiefdom without any 'interference' from those who think that perhaps the RS ought to have such dated concepts as a free press, open government, fair and transparent tenders for contracts, no corruption, no nepotism..........Of course the rhetoric gets ramped up in election years and in fact in 2006 Mile promised the citizens of the RS a referendum on independence within the lifetime of that government (by 2010). There is no outside existential threat to the RS just a desire from the citizens as a whole and many of those who have financed the rebuilding of Bosnia to see both halves of the country transform themselves into something resembling social democracies. This wouldn't help Dodik and his cronies who would wield far less power and have no opportunities to raid the entity coffers and spread the taxpayers' money around their close friends and family so don't hold your collective breath.

The greatest danger to the RS has come from Mr Dodik over the last ten years.

Without the autonomous entity, Republika Srpska, there is no B&H.

No, RS never went there as a state. It always has been an entity, like the Federation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dayton_Agreement#Content_of_the_agreement

"The State of Bosnia Herzegovina was set as of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and of the Republika Srpska. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a complete state, as opposed to a confederation; no entity or entities could ever be separated from Bosnia and Herzegovina unless through due legal process. Although highly decentralised in its Entities, it would still retain a central government, with a rotating State Presidency, a central bank and a constitutional court."

Yes, we can talk about the other half of Bosnia and indeed about other struggling Eastern European countries not least Romania and Bulgaria, but this article was about the RS and Dodik so this is where I addressed my comments. I am no fan of Izetbegovic as you know from reading my previous comments, many of which you have replied to, but he has far less scope to be an autocrat than Dodik not least because he is part of a rotating Presidency not the ultimate wielder of authority as Dodik is. The fact that Mile is the one in the news all the time and that you never read about the RS Prime Minister says everything. When Dodik was the Prime Minister you never heard from the President.
