None of you is right as before 17 century the Ottomans were autonomous part of the Great Horde. Like the Russian Tsars they took routes from Octavian August and before the end of the 16-th century both were Russians and Orthodox Slavs. Main function of the monasteries was to room the retired Cossacks. Also those were strongpoints of the Horde where not only Slavs could live. Peoples were not discriminated if they behave and payed the taxes including the famous Tagma tax that took 10% of the boys to the Horde. It was a military state with the Great Kniaz the head commander at the helm. Ottomans were Great Kniazes as well. None of you is right as before 17 century the Ottomans were autonomous part of the Great Horde. Like the Russian Tsars they took routes from Octavian August and before the end of the 16-th century both were Russians and Orthodox Slavs. Main function of the monasteries was to room the retired Cossacks. Also those were strongpoints of the Horde where not only Slavs could live. Peoples were not discriminated if they behave and payed the taxes including the famous Tagma tax that took 10% of the boys to the Horde. It was a military state with the Great Kniaz the head commander at the helm. Ottomans were Great Kniazes as well. In the Great Stamp of the Horde they were registered as князья тверские (тиверские) but later this part of the history was rewritten. It's naive to discuss whom had the churches belonged as they all belonged to the Great Horde. First documented mosques belong to 1572 when on a French map of Istanbul 3-4 mosques (former churches) were shown. Those were times when difference between the two religions was not big yet and people could pray in joint temples. Serbs cooperated the Ottomans for one single reason – they were part of the elite of the Ottomans. The name Albania came from the name of the Alps- Dinarid mountains are the continuation of the alps. That name has nothing to do with the people called Albanians as they have their own name for themselves in their own language. Same with Montenegrins. None of you is right as before 17 century the Ottomans were autonomous part of the Great Horde. Like the Russian Tsars they took routes from Octavian August and before the end of the 16-th century both were Russians and Orthodox Slavs. Main function of the monasteries was to room the retired Cossacks. Also those were strongpoints of the Horde where not only Slavs could live. Peoples were not discriminated if they behave and payed the taxes including the famous Tagma tax that took 10% of the boys to the Horde. It was a military state with the Great Kniaz the head commander at the helm. Ottomans were Great Kniazes as well. In the Great Stamp of the Horde they were registered as князья тверские (тиверские) but later this part of the history was rewritten. First documented mosques belong to 1572 when on a French map of Istanbul 3-4 mosques (former churches) were shown. Those were times when difference between the two religions was not big yet and people could pray in joint temples. Serbs cooperated the Ottomans for one single reason – they were part of the elite of the Ottomans. This is why they saved them in 1402 when Tamerlane defeated the Ottomans and killed Bayased (Василий) II it was Serbs who stopped disintegration. because for 15 years there was no other state power here.
