If you are truly against Totalitarianism, than you should look closely at the current electoral process in the United States on both the Republican and Democratic side.
The Democratic side as non-elected "super-delegates" who have padded Hilary Clinton's lead by more than 500 delegates. These delegates were put in the democratic electoral process to prevent a Socialist or Communist like Bernie Sanders to get elected.

Donald Trump must bet to at least 1237 delegates in order to gain the nomination-but all the stops are being done to prevent him from getting to that number for a brokered-convention. The GOP can change the rules prior to the convention and will eliminate the recently enacted 8 state minimum rule in order to run in the national GOP convention. The bottom line, Trump will either be denied in the GOP by hook or by crook.

Great news. Serbs appear less conflicted over their path forward - they can now focus on their future and look forward to great progress and prosperity. It’s true that Serbian people do want closer ties with Russia and they have no taste for the US or NATO. Initially, under Tadic polls were showing that Serbs were warming up to the idea of joining EU, but that has changed dramatically.
Having spent months in Serbia last year you get a feeling what people like or dislike. The recent series of financial crises in the US and EU has only deepened their scepticism about joining the EU. They look at their neighbours aka Bulgaria, Romania or Hungary and even Croatia and see that the EU is a fairy tale of so called prosperity. I travelled throughout Eastern Europe and saw nothing of those “economic miracles” they all claim.
In fact in France, Italy, Belgium etc you can see that the economies are faltering.
Only children believe that once you join the EU all your worries are over. The EU does not want to improve living standards in Eastern Europe because they need cheap labour and it’s as simple as that. Look at Poland; “Poland's high-income economy….. one of the fastest growing within the EU”
And despite all this progress it has over 2 million of its people looking for work or working outside the country. Spin in technical terms, but in colloquial it’s BS at it’s best.

I agree, its a bit of a strange poll question, putting EU+NATO into the one question. Support for joining NATO in Serbia is very small, while EU support is 40-60%.
If the question was "Do you want a healthy life and Serbia to join NATO?", it would still be a high negative. I don't think that means people don't want a healthy life.
Likewise, the question "Do you want closer ties with Russia and your testicles chopped off with a rusty knife?" would also have a high negative, it does not mean people do not want closer ties with Russia.
Maybe you could show the questions and percentage answers instead of an interpretation of them?

This shows that the Serbian government has been acting against the peoples' wishes and is not properly representing them with its determination to try and please the EU to gain EU entry.
Serbia needs a government which reflects its more neutral status to the EU and one which promotes more trade to Russian and Belarus.
There is more potential for Serbian exports to Russia than in the over-saturated EU.

I fully understand this. The EU is a mess. A large part of the population in EU countries would prefer to get out of it and with the upcoming Brexit-referendum, it's not only in theory anymore regardless of what the outcome will be. EU-members are in practice forced to give up more and more of their sovereignty to be ruled by an undemocratic body of government. As long as the EU doesn't reform drastically joining would be highly unwise for any country.
You can say whatever you want about the part of the EU-citizens with negative views on the EU. But if they were just complainers for the sake of complaining there wouldn't be this many. And if the EU-policies would be beneficiary for all, complainers would be far fewer in numbers.
And being negative towards the EU doesn't mean you're against Europe as so many have been suggesting. But a totalitarian government as the EU is aspiring to be is a far cry from the European values many Europeans hold dear.

Looks like it will be a while before Serbia sees the light... you have to understand that Serbians are not very educated people; their politicians keep them that way so they would stay in power.
The only educated, rational and multicultural part of Serbia is Vojvodina, but it's not very prosperous because Belgrade drains 90% of all it makes and decreases its autonomy daily. Yet, if you complain, these people will demonize you and label you anti-Serbian. It's madness.
At some point in the future, Vojvodina will have its voice and people of Serbia will finally realize who Russians are and that we should stop depending on them ASAP. Let's hope it's not too late when it happens.
It's only logical considering that NATO bombed the Serbs in 99 and Germany destroyed Belgrade in 41 and backed the idenpedence of Croatia. Why would one support a hand which repeatedly beats you....

I fully understand this. The EU is a mess. A large part of the population in EU countries would prefer to get out of it and with the upcoming Brexit-referendum, it's not only in theory anymore regardless of what the outcome will be. EU-members are in practice forced to give up more and more of their sovereignty to be ruled by an undemocratic body of government. As long as the EU doesn't reform drastically joining would be highly unwise for any country.
You can say whatever you want about the part of the EU-citizens with negative views on the EU. But if they were just complainers for the sake of complaining there wouldn't be this many. And if the EU-policies would be beneficiary for all, complainers would be far fewer in numbers.
And being negative towards the EU doesn't mean you're against Europe as so many have been suggesting. But a totalitarian government as the EU is aspiring to be is a far cry from the European values many Europeans hold dear.

Looks like it will be a while before Serbia sees the light... you have to understand that Serbians are not very educated people; their politicians keep them that way so they would stay in power.
The only educated, rational and multicultural part of Serbia is Vojvodina, but it's not very prosperous because Belgrade drains 90% of all it makes and decreases its autonomy daily. Yet, if you complain, these people will demonize you and label you anti-Serbian. It's madness.
At some point in the future, Vojvodina will have its voice and people of Serbia will finally realize who Russians are and that we should stop depending on them ASAP. Let's hope it's not too late when it happens.

It is obvious some people are attempting to paint Russia in a bad light purely by their hate and not based on any facts.
Russia has brought peace to Syria, Ukraine and most recently to Nagorno-Kharabagha. That is simply because Putin strives for peace. We all know what Western involvement in conflicts mean and how death and destruction continue for years. That is simply because peace is not in their interests.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are no longer in a US dominated unipolar world. We are now in a multipolar world with the order being rewritten. It’s true that Serbian people do want closer ties with Russia and they have no taste for the US or NATO. Initially, under Tadic polls were showing that Serbs were warming up to the idea of joining EU, but that has changed dramatically.
Having spent months in Serbia last year you get a feeling what people like or dislike. The recent series of financial crises in the US and EU has only deepened their scepticism about joining the EU. They look at their neighbours aka Bulgaria, Romania or Hungary and even Croatia and see that the EU is a fairy tale of so called prosperity. I travelled throughout Eastern Europe and saw nothing of those “economic miracles” they all claim.
In fact in France, Italy, Belgium etc you can see that the economies are faltering.
Only children believe that once you join the EU all your worries are over. The EU does not want to improve living standards in Eastern Europe because they need cheap labour and it’s as simple as that. Look at Poland; “Poland's high-income economy….. one of the fastest growing within the EU”
And despite all this progress it has over 2 million of its people looking for work or working outside the country. Spin in technical terms, but in colloquial it’s BS at it’s best.

I agree, its a bit of a strange poll question, putting EU+NATO into the one question. Support for joining NATO in Serbia is very small, while EU support is 40-60%.
If the question was "Do you want a healthy life and Serbia to join NATO?", it would still be a high negative. I don't think that means people don't want a healthy life.
Likewise, the question "Do you want closer ties with Russia and your testicles chopped off with a rusty knife?" would also have a high negative, it does not mean people do not want closer ties with Russia.
Maybe you could show the questions and percentage answers instead of an interpretation of them?
This shows that the Serbian government has been acting against the peoples' wishes and is not properly representing them with its determination to try and please the EU to gain EU entry.
Serbia needs a government which reflects its more neutral status to the EU and one which promotes more trade to Russian and Belarus.
There is more potential for Serbian exports to Russia than in the over-saturated EU.

Don’t you worry about the money as the Russian market is big enough to room Serbia. To say nothing that currency reserves in our Central Bank and two National Funds (above USD 500 Bln) exceed the reserves of the EU Central Bank. Serbs will be happy to replace the Turks in our agriculture and construction business. Just the way Cyprus and Greece replaced them in tourism. Or like Iran, Syria, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia that replaced turkeys in fruits imports. Besides Russians and Serbs are different from you and it’s not everything that we count in money. It has been a long arduous journey but Serbs are waking up from the delusions of EU/NATO so called prosperity/security. I am speaking of all the smart guys. They know-it alls. Those who thought they understood the Serbs? That they would do anything to get into the EU or that they would be forced to get into NATO.

I personally hope that you choose Russia, but having present that Russia will not bring Serbia nowhere economically, and Serbia will be a country which will lose too much from EU ( having present visas, comercial tradements,,,etc ), and Serbia will be then a country dependent from Russia – because EU will abandon her, so, before being nationalist i think Vucic is a smart person, or have smart collaborators - they know that.
It's only logical considering that NATO bombed the Serbs in 99 and Germany destroyed Belgrade in 41 and backed the idenpedence of Croatia. Why would one support a hand which repeatedly beats you....

It is obvious some people are attempting to paint Russia in a bad light purely by their hate and not based on any facts.
Russia has brought peace to Syria, Ukraine and most recently to Nagorno-Kharabagha. That is simply because Putin strives for peace. We all know what Western involvement in conflicts mean and how death and destruction continue for years. That is simply because peace is not in their interests.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are no longer in a US dominated unipolar world. We are now in a multipolar world with the order being rewritten. Serbia wants to be part of the free world interested in peace and prosperity that Russia is pushing. Not the destructive, dictatorial world the West has been pushing.
Enough of the death and destruction, regime change based on lies and allowing terrorists to flourish. Time to destroy those terrorists and allowing warring factions to negotiate peace.

True, in the last years, the EU got more and more away from it's oridinal idea and values, I agree.

This shows that the Serbian government has been acting against the peoples' wishes and is not properly representing them with its determination to try and please the EU to gain EU entry.
Serbia needs a government which reflects its more neutral status to the EU and one which promotes more trade to Russian and Belarus.
There is more potential for Serbian exports to Russia than in the over-saturated EU.
It’s true that Serbian people do want closer ties with Russia and they have no taste for the US or NATO. Initially, under Tadic polls were showing that Serbs were warming up to the idea of joining EU, but that has changed dramatically.
Having spent months in Serbia last year you get a feeling what people like or dislike. The recent series of financial crises in the US and EU has only deepened their scepticism about joining the EU. They look at their neighbours aka Bulgaria, Romania or Hungary and even Croatia and see that the EU is a fairy tale of so called prosperity. I travelled throughout Eastern Europe and saw nothing of those “economic miracles” they all claim.
In fact in France, Italy, Belgium etc you can see that the economies are faltering.
Only children believe that once you join the EU all your worries are over. The EU does not want to improve living standards in Eastern Europe because they need cheap labour and it’s as simple as that. Look at Poland; “Poland's high-income economy….. one of the fastest growing within the EU”
And despite all this progress it has over 2 million of its people looking for work or working outside the country. Spin in technical terms, but in colloquial it’s BS at it’s best.

I agree, its a bit of a strange poll question, putting EU+NATO into the one question. Support for joining NATO in Serbia is very small, while EU support is 40-60%.
If the question was "Do you want a healthy life and Serbia to join NATO?", it would still be a high negative. I don't think that means people don't want a healthy life.
Likewise, the question "Do you want closer ties with Russia and your testicles chopped off with a rusty knife?" would also have a high negative, it does not mean people do not want closer ties with Russia.
Maybe you could show the questions and percentage answers instead of an interpretation of them?
Great news. Serbs appear less conflicted over their path forward - they can now focus on their future and look forward to great progress and prosperity. As fellow Orthodox Slavs, the Russians will take great care of Serbs. The two will form a wonderful alliance and take on the world and everything will be just fantastic. Because if it's one thing that Serbs and Russians share in common it's living a great big fantasy. By the way, this fact is wonderfully embodied in the alias of our fellow poster "???"... he's full of ideas but hasn't got a clue.

I fully understand this. The EU is a mess. A large part of the population in EU countries would prefer to get out of it and with the upcoming Brexit-referendum, it's not only in theory anymore regardless of what the outcome will be. EU-members are in practice forced to give up more and more of their sovereignty to be ruled by an undemocratic body of government. As long as the EU doesn't reform drastically joining would be highly unwise for any country.
You can say whatever you want about the part of the EU-citizens with negative views on the EU. But if they were just complainers for the sake of complaining there wouldn't be this many. And if the EU-policies would be beneficiary for all, complainers would be far fewer in numbers.
And being negative towards the EU doesn't mean you're against Europe as so many have been suggesting. But a totalitarian government as the EU is aspiring to be is a far cry from the European values many Europeans hold dear.

If you are truly against Totalitarianism, than you should look closely at the current electoral process in the United States on both the Republican and Democratic side.
The Democratic side as non-elected "super-delegates" who have padded Hilary Clinton's lead by more than 500 delegates. These delegates were put in the democratic electoral process to prevent a Socialist or Communist like Bernie Sanders to get elected.

Donald Trump must bet to at least 1237 delegates in order to gain the nomination-but all the stops are being done to prevent him from getting to that number for a brokered-convention. In this setting, the delegates become "unbound" after the 1st ballot and can elect anyone. The GOP can change the rules prior to the convention and will eliminate the recently enacted 8 state minimum rule in order to run in the national GOP convention. The bottom line, Trump will either be denied in the GOP by hook or by crook.
"Demos" means the people and "Kratos" state in Greek. In the United states , the people (Demos) are being denied over the state (Kratos).
