He was no different than Seselj during the war. Only difference is Draskovic collaborated with NATO after whereas Seselj didn't. So one is free and the other spent 13 years in the Hauge without conviction. Today he is an irrelevant politician and his party can't secure 2% in elections. Why he is still being considered as a source for anything is beyond me.

It's great that B92 comes in English as well as Serbian, but the quality of the English is not good and the writing style is even worse. My university student newspaper has a higher quality writing style.

Vuk Draskovic is crazy - like a fox. He surely has a checkered and troubled past, and somehow managed to temporarily ally himself with Slobo. Then Slobo and co. tried to kill him. Our beloved Serbia. If you can make it thru the layers of Balkan irony, you can somehow find the truth.

We accidentally met Vuk's wife years ago, totally unexpectedly, in an old bar/restaurant in downtown Belgrade. Somehow Vuk's name had come up in conversation, and I was remarking how 'crazy' he was. Suddenly this very formidable woman approached our table, with a tiny little woman who turned out to be a famous correspondent, since deceased. Mrs. D greeted my companions, and we shook hands, then they departed.

Who the hell was that? I queried my friends. 'That was Mrs. Draskovic' they responded. I temporarily froze. I knew that she had suffered under the old regime, been jailed for a time and allegedly raped in prison.

She and Vuk must make a very formidable couple, I thought.
