The west has pandered to the Turks for many decades and now Ankara thinks it's a force to be reckoned with.
Perhaps one day soon they will find out they are nothing but a fifth military power which could not even subdue the Kurds in Iraq.
Every time they have gone into Iraq they have had their arses kicked so hard it takes months to come to terms with the loses.

My god lets hope insanity doesn't prevail, the Kurds have every rite to have their place on the table.. When will the west cut some slack for these people? They west uses the Kurds as cannon fodder and makes promises to them which they never keep for the sake of keeping their strategic partner Turkey happy despite the human tragedy, that applies for the Wests other partner Saudi Arabia who recently banned chest.. The west will sell their mothers for economic interest.. God help us..the devil is truly amongst us..

As of today, Kurds have proved to be the most efficient group of armed resistance in that war-torn area, the few able to defeat Daesh & IS' mercenaries. Wish Christians and moderate Muslims there had just half the courage Kurds have. Just half that courage would suffice....Hats off to the Kurdish women & men. Great people, BRAVE people.

It never ceases to amaze me how brazenly stupid Turkey's leadership has been over the years. The Kurdish uprising in Diyarbakir can't come fast enough.

Russia has cornered Turkey between a rock and hard place.

What an idiotic thing it did knocking down that plane.

It's pretty obvious that the Kurds have a place at the table and will get nationhood at the price of Turkey

Cavusoglu said that Turkey considers the forces of the Syrian Kurds to be "terrorists" - but these forces have been supported by Russia, the U.S., and other countries, in their fight against Islamic State.

Yes, for Turkey, all Kurds are terrorists that must be killed or ethnically cleansed. Instead, most of the world would agree that the actions of Turkish army against Kurd civilians could be considered state terrorism, símilar to actions of Milosevic against Albanian civilians is Kosovo.
