"He said it was actually so easy, and that (Serbia's) authorities were preparing to glorify their victory if they won, and say (the vote) happened under abnormal circumstances if they lost.

So what? It only means Jeremic was totally right, because it exactly happened like that (here case #1, the victory). I think everyone remembers the statements of Serbian ministers and Nicolic, too, which glorified the Serbian 'victory' just like Jeremic predicted.

Though, knowing the typical Serbian behavior, it doesn't need to be a genius to predict it would happen exactly like that

Maybe to add: In case of losing, mentioning usual conspiracy theories by the evil west. And of course it was stupid of Kosovo to apply at all: It's obvioius that the needed votes couldn't be reached by the states that recognized Kosovo, they don't have a 2/3 majority, and states which don't recognize the self-proclaimed republic of Kosovo were unlike to vote in favor of Kosovo's UNESCO membership.

Vuk is the best man for the job and the only Serb who stands a chance of getting the job

He did have an excellent opportunity as UNGA President to show that he could be the man for the UNSG job, but he blew it and he can't blame anybody else for that other than himself.

Vuk "over my dead body" Jeremic is a disaster. He has practically stepped on everybody's toes, worldwide and in Serbia as well. Apparently nobody wants anything to do with him, the DS don't want him in their party, Nikolic (and by extension his Russian masters), it turns out, doesn't like him either. He showed what he is made of at the UNGA. Seselj would have more chances than Vuk for that post.

Nikolic may be right being angry about Jeremic remarks, but he is wrong in not supporting him for the top-job. Even if Jeremic makes some more small mistakes in the near future, he remains the best foreign Minister Serbia had for decades and his appointment would mean that Serbia is back in the position Yugoslavia once had in the world of international politics. There would be tremendous advantages for Serbia that nobody should deny.

Nikolic calling Jeremic a "ladder climber" is like the pot calling the kettle black.
Nikolic has lost touch with reality..
Can somebody please send me a link to what Jeremic said to deserve a slap in the face like this?
