It is questionable that Russia will be able to hold World Cup in 2018. The corruption charges of top officials of FIFA, if proven, will put all decisions made by FIFA in to question. This, along with Western sanctions imposed on Russia, will cast doubt on the legitimacy of Moscow being awarded the 2018 World Cup. Russia, as usual, believes it can violate any rule or law in order to get its way. I suspect the award to hold the World Cup 2018 in Russia will be revoked due to corruption.

On Friday, the embassy said that "passports of the so-called Republic of Kosovo" can only be used to travel to the Russian Federation to attend events under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee and international sports associations.
IF IT IS SO-CALLED THAN PASSPORTS ARE NOT VALID! THIS STATEMENT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL AND IT IS ONLY GOOD AS SO-NEEDED POINT FOR POLITICAL USE IN SERBIA WHERE ANY KIND OF HUMILIATION OF REGIONAL NATIONS IS USED AS SERBIAN POLITICS VICTORY CLAIM.
"For other purposes, the procedure of entry of persons with Kosovo passports to the territory of Russia has not changed. Namely, their entry is not possible," the Russian embassy in Belgrade stressed in its statement.
That should be an issue about once every 10-15 years. I cannot imagine any reason for a citizen of Kosovo to want to travel to Russia.
