It is obvious Serbia is being fitted with training wheels for NATO. All it means is the Serbian army is no longer required to wear short pants but, is a long way from being given BB's for its toy rifle. However, the Serbian army will be allowed to march at the back end of all NATO parades, provided they have presentable uniforms.

On the one hand, fk NATO, forever to hell.

On the other, if Serbia has close agreements but not membership of NATO, then it will be harder for the Albanians to start another war and expect NATO (the US usually) to come riding to the rescue (2003) again.

Serbia need not choose either or, but be pragmatic, as long as it never joins and does not give NATO a free-hand via this status of forces agreement. Each one is different so until we see the document, it is hard to say.

It simply says that they are part of a common European family and that requires - in an event of a common emergency - that Serbia is prepared to help (in the way it chooses to help). The contract says that Serbia retains the right to NOT oblige.

It does not mean Serbia has joined NATO

If someone disagrees with that let them show a website listing NATO member nations.

It does not exist.

It shows that Serbia, as always (for better or worse), does its own thing.

“… a more efficient implementation of procedures necessary for participation in international exercises both in Serbia and abroad and for it stepping up its operational and functional capabilities in multinational operations."

Can anybody interpreted it into common language ? Can anybody explain why should Serbia mud itself with such a bloodthirsty gang ? Can anybody say what joint threats there are on the Balkans where all other peoples already suck NATO ? Can anybody say what “multinational operations" can be legal other than the ones approved by the UNSC ? Can you imagine that one day President asks Russia to ban a UNSC resolution instigated by NATO members and the next day the Parliament ratifies such a “hende hoh” agreement ?

PS Congratulations to Rocky, Hardinai, Snake, the Croats and the kind.
