I would have thought Serbs would have been ecstatic on this, it infuses jobs, economy, and a chance to move into the world of the future. While at the same time protecting the majority of assets from the sticky fingers of the politically corrupt, which still todays represents pretty much all of Serbia and the Balkans. It also establishes a control system that will keep it profitable versus most of those owned and operated by the state. It is a much better and profitable deal from Gazprom which Serbs seem to be willing to roll in manure rather than admit they were railroaded in a huge way.

Serbia cannot benefit if it owns 32%, the project employing and housing less than 20,000 each and taking 30 years to complete.
China is building complete new cities in months. Effectively, the land is being sold.

"and another EUR 40 million for the land expropriation process"

Isn't the land they are using worth more than 40 million? Also what about the utility and sewage systems to support this metropolis? Who is going to build that and pay for it?
99-years lease is a LONG time.

I think this is folly, and Serbia has Vucic to blame for bringing in this Islamic country and giving it long leases of Serbian land and including good farmland.

What a sell-out of other people's property this Vucic is. Where is any vote by the Serbian people? The Serbian people are betrayed by Vucic again and again.

Serbia save your heritage the new gaudy towers will just ruin it. The "new" junk last 50 to 100 years if that. Then it can be thrown in to the garbage. You will make more http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/04/23/dubrovnik-croatia-the-real-kings-landing-on-location-with-game-of-thrones/ money in the long run by preserving your heritage.
