As an expression of gratitude for the fact that in this country we do not have to speak German as their obedient collaborators, we do not have to salute 'Heil Hitler, Heil Himmler, Heil Goring'... " the Czech president told Radio Frekvence 1.

That's true, but as a Czech president who knows some history, he should know well about a bigger neighbor state coming, occupying and annexing a part of its territory under the premise to 'protect' their national minority living there. So, the people living in eastern Ukraine have to 'salute' 'Heil Putin' nowadays.

P.S: in his Russian gratitude, he shouldn't forget about the Molotov- Ribbentrop pact between Nazi Germany and Russia.

If we look at the harvest of WW2 Moscow is not the best place to celebrate the Victory Day. Washington is the real winner. They sponsored Hitler and supplied him raw materials and foods. Even in 1942 the Russians and the Germans near Leningrad still enjoyed the same canned American meat. To say nothing of the stolen gold of many European countries later reinvested back within Marshall Plan and Bretton Wood and still occupied Japan/Germany/Korea and so on. With minimal losses the US has earned money and gained world domination while 27 million of the Soviets together with their 70 000 towns and villages were ruined. So the US is the real winner in WW2. Next I think come Sweden and Switzerland to swallow the German funds, plus Poland to obtain vast territories, plus France somehow included to the Anti-Hitler Coalition ect. Yes the USSR became the most influential power in the world but the price that has been paid for it does not lets us call it as the main winner. Same with Serbia.

Nevermind the five decades of soviet oppression and an invasion to suppress the Prague Spring, atleast you aren't speaking German. Typical old communist logic.
