Discussion for permanent status for Pristina institutions is not something that could even be considered at the UN Security Council
(Ari Gold, 23 December 2014 12:24)

That's totally correct because the permanent status of Kosovo has been already settled in accordance with UNSCR 1244 and international law.

(Ari Gold, 23 December 2014 19:14)

No, the Albanian institutions don't function even WITH the involvement, and even worse, EULEX, which was established with the goal to bring some basic law standards into that mafia state ruled by clan loyalty and the mafia law of omerta, adapted to local habits with bribery, threatening witnesses, bending the law or applying it selectively by not persecuting high ranking polit.. oops criminals.

I have some bad news for you, the Palestinian Authority hasn't existed for almost two years now. Keep up-to-date. Palestine doesn't control its borders. Israel controls what goes in and out of Palestine, they even control the amount of calories which can enter Palestine. This is not the case with Kosovo. Palestine virtually has no capacity to function in the West Bank. Palestine doesn't have a functioning government with ministries and institutions unlike Kosovo. Unfortunately the State of Palestine only exists in theory because Israel refuses to allow it become a reality and occupies most of its land. Palestine isn't even allowed its own police service. Palestine has no Ministry for Education, Healthcare, Justice, Local Government, Transport, Labour, Finance, Agriculture/ Forestry, Internal Affairs ect. Palestine can't introduce its own visas unlike Kosovo. Kosovo is light years ahead of Palestine and as things stand, always will be.

The Kosovo Assembly and its institutions administrate Kosovo, even Serbia would agree with that. Serbia accepted the Kosovo Assembly's governance and administration of Kosovo with the 2013 Brussels Agreement. Palestine can't even dream of having the same powers which Kosovo has.
(Ian, UK, 24 December 2014 01:06)

The Palestinian Authority (PA) administers the West Bank outside of the Israeli settlements. I'm not sure what exactly the Pristina institutions have that Palestine doesn't. I don't think you are either.

And yes, the Brussels agreement of which Serbia's pathetic government chose to sign into existence was bad. Just as it was moronic to remove the talks on Kosovo-Metohija from the UN to the EU. But it just goes to show that only Serbia can make Kosovo-Metohija independent because that is legally Serbian territory.

But I like your odds. The heroin routes you oddly have such a sick desire to see maintained are probably safe for now with the Serbian government that's in place now.

KFOR is a peacekeeping mission which has nothing to do with the administration of Kosovo. EULEX is a policing mission which has nothing to do with the day-to-day running of Kosovo.

How do you know I'm "a huge proponent of organ trafficking and heroin routes"? Please don't tell anyone, you'll make me look bad and I wouldn't want that hahaha.

I want to ask you a question, does anyone take you seriously and actually believe what you say?

EULEX and NATO-KFOR administer Kosovo-Metohija. When it comes to setting up what they term "rule of law", it is these missions who are responsible for making the big decisions in the territory. There have been reports that the first "president" from the Pristina institutions was handpicked by the American "ambassador" from his smart phone. When Pristina tried to take the matter of Northern Kosovo-Metohija into its own hands, they were beaten back by the local Serb population and needed NATO-KFOR to help transport them back and forth between the administrative line and the Mitrovica bridge.

I know you're a huge proponent of organ trafficking and heroin routes, but facts are facts. The Albanian institutions would not function without direct Western involvement and direct Western humanitarian donations. And with all the pressure on Serbia's government, for the Pristina institutions not to even be on the level of Palestine, I'll take it.

Yeah but Kosovo administrates Kosovo, however Palestine doesn't administrate Palestine; Israel occupies the vast majority of the State of Palestine's territory which doesn't even have clearly defined borders. Israel controls its borders and airspace, Israel even controls its calorie intake. Palestine would much prefer to be in Kosovo's situation. Palestine is a state in theory whilst Kosovo is a state in reality. To help you understand what the State of Palestine actually controls, here is a map, Palestine controls the red bits, the white bits are controlled by Israel.

Russia stands in the way of Kosovo membership to the UN, China would most likely abstain from the vote as it did on UNSC 1244, if Kosovo has a majority vote. India the help Serbia is receiving from India is the same as Haiti, the potential of one vote in the UNGA.
Russia may be in a negotiating mood soon, especially should Putin lose power, or if Serbia makes a wrong move in their desire to join the EU, they may have to be taught what betrayal means in the mind of Putin.
China has said that Serbia or the balkans is a stepping stone to the EU as far as its importance.

"We expect that the U.S. will remain of the opinion it has had for 47 years, and that is that the solution to the conflict can only be achieved through negotiations, and we see no reason to change this policy," said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after meeting with U.S. Secretary of State US John Kerry.

Wise words: Solutions for a territorial conflict can only be achieved through negotiations, and not by unilateral declarations of independence or applying for UN membership which will be vetoed, anyway. I hope Mr Thaci and his buddies listened carefully to these words.

Despite so many concessions from the Serbian government, the Pristina institutions are nowhere near Palestine in regards to statehood. Both are unilateral decelerations that shouldn't be recognized, but Israel is a lot more isolated in this matter than Serbia is. Israel has the United States, which is a big help. But Serbia has China, Russia, India which will never recognize the Pristina institutions unless Serbia's gov't completely folds.

Discussion for permanent status for Pristina institutions is not something that could even be considered at the UN Security Council, because Serbia has allies. The real problem is Serbia's government. It was the previous regime which removed Kosovo-Metohija from UN discussions and transferred it to the jurisdiction of the decaying EU and their corrupt missions.

The international backing is there. But will the vultures get Serbia's government to make history and fully capitulate??
