Jinx,
I couldn't agree with you more. There is no circumstance that justifies violence towards unprotected guest athletes ( soccer players), participating in a sport event. But unfortunately , very often in this forum, patriotism is replacement for human decency. Looking at the comments here, maybe Blater is right....

So you think that that is not ok but it sure is ok to chant kill the serbs and srbe na vrbe in Bosnia and Croatia right?

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Mark you seem to be of the view that Serbians have a desire to go to Albania. Far from it my Americanised friend we don't want to go where we aren't welcome and Tirana is top of the list,Sarajevo a close second and Zagreb third. As for fear, I think you are way off the mark there! I was a little bemused as to why your lot came to Belgrade...oh yes it was to provoke an incident and maybe see some decent looking women. Well done for spoiling everyone's evening. Let's see how the return match unfolds if indeed it is played. My money is on Serbia regardless of venue.

According to you "kill the Albanians" chants is not a provocation and things were just peachy before the drone showed up.

Are you meaning that you wouldnt chant the same against Serbs if the game was played in Tirana? Come on, get real.

UEFA did a huge favor to Serbia, there is no doubt in my mind.
Had we done the same thing to England or Germany for example , we would be expelled immediately from the championship.
It goes to show how badly is Albania still viewed in Europe.
Provocation is NEVER an excuse for violence.
Remember the headbutt of Zidane against Materazzi?
Clearly Zidane was provoked but who got the red card?
Albanians were our guests, the footballers had nothing to do with the drone, we still don't know the author.
What did Albanian footballers do to get beaten up by our hooligans on the field?

Our obsession with this stupid flag and child toy we call a drone is beyond ridiculous and only goes to show how immature and sensitive our society is.
Who cares about a piece of rag?
Maybe it is time to make a t-shirt with the flag and sell it to all idiots who want to drive the serbs mad, what are we going to to? Forbid its sale?
It is a pity that we let ourselves to be played with just like a corrida bull fighting the red rag. Shame on us.

What the Serbian fans, internet warriors, media and their government have been trying really hard to get the rest of the world to understand is that they don't have the the mental capacity to handle even the slightest provocation. If you dare provoke a serb they will default to their barbaric ways i.e. kill, pillage, burn, and do whatever is at their disposal.
They're like an infant who throws a temper tantrum when they don't get the toy they want.

What's so hard about that to understand?
On the other hand, it's OK to chant 'Kill the Albanians, Croats, Bosniaks, gays, and pretty much anyone who is different or doesn't share their 'heavenly' beliefs or ways.

I get it. Way too many Serbs don't have the mental tools to exist in the modern world, much like the neanderthal couldn't live alongside the human. These Serbs give moderate Serbs a bad name. Perhaps, those moderates should stand up against the neanderthal. Otherwise, they're future doesn't look so bright.

Albania has been in group with the surrounding countries and never had a problem. Serbia on the other hand has to play without fans when it plays Croatia.

I was at the game vs Croatia in Belgrade and visiting supporters were banned just like they were in Zagreb. Both Serbian and Croatian football federations agreed on this issue. As for the game in Belgrade without your provocation it would not have been any problems.

Mark, somehow you fail to mention that Croatia also had to play without fans when they played vs Serbia in Zagreb.

@Peggy

Or those very polite supporters who kept chanting ubije siptari and rushed the pitch to throw punches and kept throwing flares. but i know Peggy, its never Serbia's fault, just like when those troubles in Rome occurred in 2010, that wasn't Serbia's fault either. the Italians were to blame for not getting what real support is. or when black players of England's u21 side were racially abused in Belgrade two years ago, that too isn't Serbia's fault

better for albania to avoid being in the same group with all countries that surrounds it. It will not be good for them, next time "big albania" flag appears, there will be serious problems that not even a phone call from the US will be able to stop.

Enoughwith albanian aggressiveness, time for a dynamic response.

As for you serbian internet warrior i tell you that our players came in Belgrade and played in front of 30 thousand animals and even fought them. Now you brave Serbs are sh.ting bricks, your federation is asking UEFA that the next game should not be played in Albania. That's what kind of cowards you serbs are. And as for the phone call from the US, that is how it starts. First you get a phone call and then you get bombed.

This announcement is probably the most humiliating of all the punishments. FIFA is saying that people from conflict areas are too uncivilized to be permitted to play sports against each other. This is absolutely sad, and it does not have to be this way.

Why the hell not? Because there is friction? So both should grow up then. What if they both had outrageously gifted generations of footballers and were destined to meet in the final? What then? Cancel the match? Put them in the same group, it really doesn't matter and if there is trouble, deduct points, issue fines, or expel. Why should sport be hostage to mongrel behaviour?
