Russian rescuers arrive in flood-stricken Serbia

Makes you think of who your true friends are. Russia already has boots on the ground in Serbia to assist the flood victims, while the EU is still preparing. The flood waters will probably recede by the time Serbia receives aid from the EU. An EU rep will arrive just in time for a photo op.

My compassion for all to suffer from the flood.

I guess Russia should provide significant material aid to all no matter if they are Serbs or not. Possibly material aid to people in RS and the rest of Bosnia as well as in KIM should be provided through Serbia. Actually reconciliation of the peace on Balkans is the greatest goal of Russia while the US interest is quite the opposite. Disaster like this is also a chance to remember how fragile is the world we are living in.

P.S. Most people in Russia feel nostalgia about the USSR and words like Socialism or KGB do not make us shiver. I guess most of those who lived in the prospering Yugoslavia think similar. Then what were all those tragedies for and who has opened the Box ? Best to say all those Boxes …

I love it how some idiots are saying that Serbia deserves this for murdering people. Wow, I see that these messages are coming from Westerners, such as Italians who went into Ethiopia and murdered countless Africans, or from Germans who killed 6 million Jews, or from Croats who also killed Jews, Serbs, Roma, and others, and whom the Germans even thought were excessive. Of course there are my American brothers and sisters, whose government killed over a quarter million Japanese civilians with two A bombs. Should I go on? I hate to do counts, but if we list what the Serbs did during the 1990s next to what these individuals did over time, it pales in comparison. Bless the good people of Serbia and Bosnia, and now Croatia who are suffering from these floods.

I am more than shocked to read some comments here talking about paybacks from former atrocities that have been committed. All of you writing scum like that should be ashamed of themselves.

Also everyone here thinking that one person commenting scum from a certain country represents that country in whole should also reconsider his thoughts!

For me I can say that Serbia was the number one news in Germany and that many many Germans already donated to help the victims of this natural desaster. So whoever here is always talking shit about Germany or the EU should also reconsider that. The European idea is bigger than nationalism and state borders!

I am thankful to every single contribution, no matter where from, that helps Serbia in this tradegy.
