There were no serb civilians killed during kosovo war because all serbs in Kosovo were armed. I wonder when serbia will admit that they were the once who took organs from albanian bodies.

First of all before someone gets his or her blood pressure to high I strongly recommend to “keep calm and recognize what was done in Kosovo during the war” I ask myself why this mass grave was keep secret all those year , why all of those killed have been brought to Serbia, Why the genocide that was caused during the war never is mentioned from the Pervious and current Government, why we as the people of Kosovo and Serbia have to see these kind of scene every year , Why the military however you want to call Serbian or Yugoslavian did hid this massive grave and what other sites exist that we as the people of those nations do not have knowledge about. I also want to express my fillings about the Kosovo site they have to find all the missing Kosovar-Serbians that are at least we in Kosovo hear that they are missing. By not hearing the truth from the Serbian Government this leads me to believe that all the missing K-Serbians were killed by the Yugoslavian army just as it was accepted by the newly elected Serbian Prime minister that the genocide that had taken lives of 5 young K-Serbs in Peja (Pec) in 90’s and K-Albanians were blamed for this crimes that were committed from Millo’s regime, There is a lot of things that Government of Rep. of Serbia is not and will never share with the free and democratic society. Now I ask myself again , how in the world a nation that never accept wrong doing is trying to be part of Democratic EU member.

The digging and relentless search for evidence should expand. For those that know the geographic location, you will appreciate that as this effort progresses southward, it's geographic proximity will rapidly reach the physical, political, and psychological boundaries that have been erected against the will of peaceful peoples in this region and allow for their re-unification.

Wonder if the albo's will ever do the same to all those Serbs killed through out Kosovo...? and while your at it find all the Serbs murdered for their organs. Albanians holding the high moral ground is hilarious and ironic.

Paul

I suppose we don't have to worry about anyone setting fire to the site to destroy evidence as was done by Albanians at similar sites where Serbs were buried.

We were writing and speaking out about this site since 2010, when EULEX made it public, but it was known about publicly since at least 2005, and actually since the time of the war, spring 1999. There is extensive aerial evidence and witness testimony. Yes it was done by the Milosevic regime and his many willing executioners, most of whom will never see the light of a courtroom. But the other issue is the ensuing cover up. This was initiated by Milosevic and state security ppl, but continued thru with successive regimes up and thru the present. It is now being exhumed only because of extreme outside pressures, and the Belgrade regime's desire for money and goodies from the EU.

So as has been pointed out by others, there needs to be full prosecution of all criminal elements involved in the initial atrocities and cover-up, but also all parties who continued to cover up.

EU, are you listening??

ps this is not the end of the story, just another sordid chapter. There are additional mass graves inside Serbia, but the remains of those burned in industrial facilities will never be discovered. About them there is only silence. And silence is not always golden...

The exhumation work such as the persistent efforts in Rudnica which started in 2007 and continued in 2010 and 2011, without the discovery of any new evidence, should be expanded at this site and across all of the regions of former YU, until all casualties have been identified. I trust that the all victims may rest in eternal brotherly peace and that the surviving peoples of the region shall soon awake to a new day united together on earth.

It doesn't even matter if the "Kosova" side ever exposes its crimes, if we want be honest with ourselves and have rule of law and if we think life is precious and sacred than no one should hide from the Truth. The bodies should be returned to their families or communities, the people who knew this was there should be tried, the age of the dead and causes of death should be determined wherever possible and the guilty should be prosecuted in a Serbian court. A memorial should be errected on the site. We are not guilty as a people and we are not guilty as a nation, we should not hide criminals.

Every single Albanian that was killed by Serbs in Kosovo was was considered a civilian by western media and he Hague under del ponte. Of course Serbs hid bodies. The kla didn't even exist!

That's what happens when terrorists attack civilians and police units.
(Grobar1, 24 April 2014 12:56)

Really, Grobar.

Legitimate police actions need to be covered up by reburying the bodies 400km away in a secret grave?

Why hide the bodies?

Atila

This is why Serbs are refused to go to Djakovica a lot of people from that city are missing and maybe in this particular genocide grave.

May their soles rest in peace.

At least there is a chance the truth will be known about the site. If you remember in the previous investigations of the sites. Observers were allowed to "observe" the collections of samples of dirt from the site, but they were not allowed to obtain samples or to touch the samples or to observe the testing of the samples on members of the Serbian forensics team. Then the results were released as negative for containing bodies.
This ultimately means that for the last 6 years the Serbian govt was still actively involved in covering up the crimes committed in Kosovo. Those in positions of authority should be held accountable for their complicity in this matter.

you forgot to mention how, and why these dead people ended up in Serbia. Towards the end of the war the Milosevic regime decided that it was time to cover up their bloody trail in Kosovo, and they simply started to digg out dead bodies from mass graves inside Kosovo, and transported them to Serbia. The transport took place in refrigerator trucks and some were dumped in lakes, other were burried in different new mass graves inside serbian territory, and some were burned in the furnaces of the Trepca and other lead melting furnaces in Serbia. All this has been known for a long time, but Serbia tried to cover this up for years.
